they really did do a good job with this.

However, all is not forgiven or forgotten. I had to shelve this game for almost a month...this is the game as it should've been day one. and they still dropped the ball on some things we were promised, like online sliders! A month later and finally playable.

Well, can't have everything, LOL. I commend the DEV team for coming out with this, and listening to feedback.

I destroyed a decent pre-patch/tuner player (91-58) who used Keyshawn Hayes.

Using Pavlik I utilized the jab, common sense blocking, good timing, and some regular (non power modified) sneaky right crosses to dismantle him with an early 5th round KO. He was the highest rated player I've beaten (he's a 23, I'm a 14) and I did it easily. The jab is real important.

Total Jabs Landed/Thrown: 81/134 23/62
Jab Connect%: 60% 37%

I had an overall 54% connect percentage to his 31% including 9% in the last round (1-11).

Great tuner combined with the patch. It really rewards players for boxing smart and sim-style. I've played two players in a row who were used to spamming with no consequence. Not anymore. Dropped 'em both within 7 if anything because they wore themselves out. LOVE IT!

Had a guy using Leonard that was getting beat by me (Pavlik) from the outside. He then tried to crowd me to slug with Pavlik. The result was 4 knockdowns and a 4th round knockout. His jab got through a little (63-138, 41%) but left him open for Kelly's right cross. I used my jab (60-85, 70%) much more efficiently, and that set the tone for the rout.

I led in punch connect 64% to 41%, 184/286 to 162/391.

lol. true...im just miffed at ea for not just doing it right in the first place!

Yes it does. I just posted a fight I had with a cheeseball who quick-picked frost against my 88 heavyweight I never heard of, and worked him round after round with sound boxing. Staying out of his power and giving him a Costco size box of jabs.

I think a lot options are downplaying one if the biggest improvements from the patch.., punch offsetting...FINALLY!!! That along Roth the stamina fix make this game do much better.

This is a completely different game.

The stamina is a monster difference here. It's affecting accuracy beautifully. It's making combinations organic. It's making the pacing of the fight realistic.

Punch offsetting is the other major player, really making the jab count. The jab FINALLY is as important as it should be.

Everyone has mentioned how fantastic the jab feels, how great the stamina and accuracy are, but again, I wanna mention the combinations. This is the first time where it truly feels like momentum shifts with a combination.

You'll have one guy who gets briefly tired, and then the other guy steps in and throws a counter where all the other guy can do is try and defend while he regains his wind. You have those types of combos as well as combos where both fighters are throwing, but with the punch offsetting, it finally feels RIGHT.

I wanna get more playtime in before I continue to sing praises, but this really feels fantastic so far.

I hate the guys who just stand there, I somehow lost to one tonight. He jabbed me to the body and I had a hard time getting to him.

On a better note, I went 6-2 tonight beating mainly guys ranked 90+. They must be crying when it comes to the 7th round and they can't move. All I have to do is bide my time.

I did have about 5 really good matches out of the 8 so I can't complain.

I'm 23-6-0 with 17 KO's people are starting to duck me. Noone belowor even to me will fight me so all my victories are hard fought. I beat a couple of guys with rankings 40+ above me.

Still haven't seen a 1 punch KO post patch even though I've landed some perfectly time counter power punches. I fear EA removed the 1 punch KO. I don't mind if its toned down, but don't want it removed completely.

I jumped into the game last nigth but had to turn it off before I could play. Saw the patch though and read how to get the tuner.

I haven't played online and may not for a while. My question is the sliders. Does the tuner reset them for you or do I need to move everything back to default for offline play.

It sounds like the gameplay and using strategy will make matches more exciting then ever.

I'm 9-0 post patch including a victory over a Top 200 guy. This morning I used Pavlik and knocked out Oscar and Tommy Hearns in the 2nd round.
