    Re: Pacquiao vs Mosely

I didn't see the fight, but I think Floyd is now more scared of Pac than ever.

Of note is the following quote from Mosley:

"I fought the best fighter in the world, He has exceptional power, power that I've never been hit like this before."

Did anyone see the Pavlik fight? Was it as close as one of the judges had it (95-95)?

      Re: Pacquiao vs Mosely

Mosley didn't fight PacMan like he fought Floyd last year. If he would of fought like he fought PBF he would of probably caught PacMan but he didn't. He just let PacMan throw his little garbage combo and backpedaled. He really looked like he wasn't trying to hurt Manny. Really starting to feel like its scripted.

And for any Manny fans, you shouldn't be 'happy' with this win. That was not impressive. Not at all. I'm a PBF fan, no homerism intended, but that was a pretty garbage fight.

Now I must log on to FB and deal with all the 'bandwagon' Manny fans who think that was the best fight ever.

The only reason I bought this fight is because I work at a cable company and I get half off, and it still was not worth the money, I want my $27.00 back! Paci did good, but Mosley was running like a lil chicken, just trying not to get knocked out. Mayweather needs to come out and fight Pac-man and stop being a little punk!

Mayweather is immature and arrogant, I say Paci needs to step down to his level to get Floyd to come out the shadows. Maybe post a video on the web calling Floyd a weak scared punk, or pull a publicity stunk, by paying Floyds baby mama to pretend to be with him, by posting a video on the web of Paci and Floyds baby mama going out shopping, and her kissing him, that'll do the trick.

I told my friend sitting next to me after the 2nd round that the fight was over. Manny realized that there was no force or anything behind that decorative jab Shane was hanging out there. Sure enough in the 3rd Shane got dropped.

On this night Pac looked very beatable by a quality opponent with a jab....far from impressive.

Unfortunately I did. I am fortunate, as I don't buy fights unless i have five other guys and some pizza around. Last night wasn't one of those times. I still feel screwed in a way, as I sat through Kieran Mulvaney's chat. he did a great job, but as I said, I stayed up for this and it wasn't worth it.

Free streams aren't the issue with boxing. It's 60$ for crap like this. It's fighters that duck opponents, A fighters fighting only B fighters to build up their record. How do you think the NFL would be if the Super Bowl was a blow out every year, a #1 seed destroying the other conference's wild card, AKA PacMan-Clottey? Don't get me wrong, I like Sugar and PacMan both, but $60 for that was bull. When boxing was at it's peak...you saw Hagler-Hearns on WW of Sports. You saw the best fighting the best.

And yes, Mosley needs to retire. Hand them up and get an announcing gig while training his son.

The thing that cracks me up about pac is that...even if you happen to land somethin that hurts him....it only makes him angry and makes him come after you harder.

That was at lightweight. Has he been hurt at 147 yet?

I dont think Pac had any respect for Shane as a fighter, thats why he looked beatable. Remeber there goal was to knock Shane out not just beat him, if thats your goal from the start then thats very little respect, cause thats saying I know I can beat Shane, but we want a TKO.

No one's come after him at 147 since a weight drained De La Hoya, and maybe Margarito. Everyone's scared to or something, like the Hatton KO built this mythical aura about him almost like Tyson had. And now he want's Marquez to come up to 147, who's power doesn't carry to WW. I don't know if people are just shocked by his power in the 1st round and it scares them off the rest of the fight or what, but someone out there has to have the huevos to come at him.

I think the only guy that hurt him at something close to WW was Margarito with a body shot in the 6th. Pac almost went down from that. That's prolly it. Mayweather wouldn't knock him out, maybe hurt him, but that's it. Mayweather would keep him at bay with the jab and counter punches, maybe win by UD. I can't see anyone else at WW that would give PacMan and handful except Ortiz, but I don't know his chin would hold up.

I believe most people did not expect much from mosley including myself but you could of thrown an actor in there and they would of looked as if they actually gave a damn

Margarito hurt him and that's by Pac's own admittance. Even when not hurt and the opp is just able to land a good shot or even a solid combo....all it does is piss pac off. When Margarito would lane 3...Pac would land 6 or 7. People think Mayweather's counter-punching would keep Pac at bay but it'd only do the opposite and make him even more aggressive from, if anything, frustration. At that point PBF would be forced to either abandon his defense and trade or risk losing on the cards due to Pac's sheer volume of activity and constantly moving forward. If he tries to trade with Pac he'll get slept.

It was like Shane wanted him to win. Like he took a dive or something.

                              Re: Pacquiao vs Mosely

It's pointless to even talk about a Manny-Mayweather fight. It is not happening ever. Whether Manny looked vulnerable is inconsequential because even at 80% he's not gonna lose to anybody, including PBF because PBF has already lost the psychological battle with Manny.

The mental edge is half of the battle so PBF is going to be at a disadvantage because he fears getting hit by Manny and the one thing that PBF likes more than money is not getting hit and, whether he wins or not, PBF knows he gonna get hit by hard shots all nite long and that bothers him alot, enough that 50 million is not gonna convince him to get in there even at the expense of hurting his career and legacy.

PBF is alot like Roy Jones. He is very slippery and a great counter puncher because he does not like getting hit in the face. It is really that simple. Just because you're a boxer doesn't mean that some of them won't do anything to avoid getting hit. If PBF wanted to, he could be an incredible offensive fighter like Manny. Jones, like PBF, was never really clocked in his career until Tarver rocked him and he was never the same after that because it destroyed his psyche. PBF doesn't want the same thing happening to him.

I don't know about all that. Floyd is slated to possibly take on Ortiz. IMO a win over Ortiz is worth a win over Margarito, Mosley, and Clottey combined.
