Re: Mayweather-Ortiz Sept 16th
I just watched the Ortiz/Berto fight.
PBF/Ortiz will be much like PBF/Gatti. Ortiz is too open for the counterpunch. He leads with his head down (in front/forward).
I say PBF by TKO (referee stoppage) in the 9th.
I expect PBF to perform surgery and pick Ortiz apart. This is probably going to be more one-sided than I initially thought.Comment

Re: Mayweather-Ortiz Sept 16th
Agree 100%. I was telling a co-worker the same exact thing. Ortiz is not ready for a fight with the likes of a Floyd. I do give Floyd and his team credit for picking Ortiz as a tune up fight to prepare for Manny. Ortiz is a fighter coming off an amazing upset, and has caught the boxing worlds attention with performance, but underneath the surface, we all pretty much know the outcome of this bout.
My biggest fear is that Ortiz pulls a 'David Haye' and only cares to end the fight on his feet and retire with a big payout for his troubles.Comment

I think you can rest easy. Ortiz is definitely not the type.Comment

Re: Mayweather-Ortiz Sept 16th
Floyd is looking to make a statement in this fight and unfortunately for Ortiz, he will be the recipient of the statement he is looking to make.
Ortiz will fight hard and look to make the fight entertaining, but I see Floyd punishing and bloodying up Ortiz's face and then looking to lay him down any where from the 7th-9th round.
Floyd wants to make a big splash and whooping up on one of these young up and comers is one way to prove to the doubters that he hasn't lost much in the lay off and keep the interest in the potential Pacman fight which I guess will take place somewhere near Christmas of 2012.Comment

Re: Mayweather-Ortiz Sept 16th
Good pre-fight hype. Ortiz displayed some tough talk which means boo when its time to climb in the ring, but if he's using that Berto win as some sort of a milestone and measuring stick as to gauge whether he's ready for Floyd, he's in for the beating of his life.
Berto is a "flawed" fighter, not a "Floyd" fighter. The mistakes Berto made, Floyd won't. I do believe it will be entertaining and he will come to fight. Ortiz is game and willing and appears to have located his heart again, but he isn't ready for this fight. A good fighter in for a bad beating.Comment

Did anyone catch 24/7?
Floyd, Jr. was about to fight Floyd, Sr.
Damn...these guys are idiots. Too much money and ego.Comment
