PBF: "I want you to submit to Olympic Syle drug testing or no fight."

PM: "No way, drawing blood that close to the fight will compromise my stamina."

PBF: "Cool. I didn't really want to fight you anyway."

PM: "Fine. Let's go to mediation. Whatever gets decided there we will abide by."

PBF: "Ummmmm. No. Just agree or no fight. I won't take the chance that I lose in mediation."

PM: "But if the arbitrator decides that we should use the testing, I will abide by that decision. So, you get what you want."

PBF: "No I don't because I am ducking you and if you don't agree when and how I say you need to then I will use that as an excuse to not fight. In fact, chances are, that even if you agree without mediation now that I will find another reason to delay this or not fight you."

I understand PacMan's the face of boxing but come on now, that just doesn't add up. No matter who side of the argument your on.

PacMan has been pretty much unstoppable ever since he moved up in weight and he's known for 'unbelievable' power more than anything. Moved up and now has indestructible power 'out of nowhere'.
You're a hypocrite. You have no problem taking Floyd's word that he's received emails about Pac's drug use (even though NO proof has every come forward), but you don't trust Pac's word that he's never used?
And for the record, Floyd re-tweeted Mosley's tweet about roid use.

Also, Pac and Floyd are roughly the same age and both were 106 at 16-years-old. The same age Pac starting fighting professionally while Floyd was an amateur.
Floyd actually moved up in weight faster than Pac did over the same time frame.

And as much as I respect Pac's power, how many stoppages has he had at 147?
The only guy he's really 'stopped' above 135 is Hatton at 140.
Of his 6-fights above 140 he has one stoppage and that was over Cotto.

The guys he's fighting have no problem talking about how hard he hits and I'm sure he does.
But his KO % was much greater when he was fighting below 135.

You also have to take into account what kind of fighter he is now compared to when he was a featherweight. He's a much different guy since Roach started training him.
His training has gotten better as has his technique and strategy.
He's hitting guys from multiple angles and at a higher volume. The punches you don't see are the ones that hurt the most.
Who's to say his blossoming as a fighter and strategy hasn't helped in his increase in power?

Pac could be on roids. I don't know for sure and I think Floyd is right in that boxing needs to have proper testing for all fighters.
But so far, Pac has taken multiple urine and blood tests prior to fights in the past, and an hour after every fight and has come up clean every time.

There are more FACTS out there that show that Pac has agreed to everything Floyd requested and yet Floyd still runs.
There are FACTS out there that prove that Pac has passed every urine and blood test ever given to him.

The only thing I've heard from Floyd are rumors that he's created without backing them up with one ounce of fact.

Re: FIGHTER: “I INJECTED MANNY PACQUIAO WITH STEROIDS”

I see the argument has switched to Floyd not wanting to fight Pac which has been debated on these boards for the last 2 years. back on topic

The topic is someone said they injected Pac with steroids. Its probably false but its hard to just brush this off since we did the same with other athletes and they all came to be true.

If a report came out the Floyd to steroids we would have to consider that maybe thats true as well just because the times that we are in with sports. Unfortunate now we are in the time where you are guilty to proven innocent

So i believe Pac is clean but my confident level is only 90% and I dont think our suspicion of him will hurt or affect his legacy

Agreed, it seems once Floyd Sr. started this rumor (and i'm calling it a rumor because no facts have come forth from the allegations) when Manny knocked out the fighter Floyd Sr. was training. Before that no one even utter steroids in the same sentence as Manny. Another point that was made was, since being under Freddy Roach, has Manny even used a Filipino fighter as a sparring partner?

Re: FIGHTER: “I INJECTED MANNY PACQUIAO WITH STEROIDS”

The funny thing about all of this is that Mosely never failed a drug test when we KNOW he was using. Also, in a recent ESPN the Magazine, athletes were asked to rate the effectiveness of their sport's drug testing 1(the best) to 10 (the worst). Cruiserweight Steve Cunningham rated boxing as a 10 and said he knows he fought at least 2 guys who were juicing.

Whether or not Manny is juicing, I don't know. But I do know that boxing seriously needs to change their testing procedures. I care more about testing in contact sports like boxing and football than I do about baseball...but based on some of the responses in the boxing forum, it doesn't seem like others feel the same way.

I for one agree wholeheartedly that steroids are a huge negative issue in ALL sports, especially contact sports. That wasn't my point in this thread at all though since I don't think the health of the sport or its participants is what was driving Floyd's insistence on Olympic style testing. In fact, if I remember correctly, Manny talked about his negative feelings about having blood drawn so close to a fight long before this came up with Mayweather. I will have to check that to be sure, but I remember thinking at the time that Floyd's camp got a hold of that information and used it as a way to delay or duck the fight. I think this has way more to do with Floyd trying to set the timetable for a Pacquiao fight if he's going to fight him at all. Whether it is gamesmanship or outright cowardice, I won't say.

Re: FIGHTER: “I INJECTED MANNY PACQUIAO WITH STEROIDS”

Still looking for a link discussing when Manny indicated he didn't want blood drawn too close to the fight, however, I found this intersting quote from Floyd to back up the theory that Floyd will just keep moving the line to avoid fighting Pacquiao.

"I gave him (Pacquiao) a chance, up to 14 days out. But my new terms are all the way up to the fight. They can come get us whenever, all the way up to the fight, random drug test. That***8217;s what it is," Mayweather was quoted as saying."

Pacquiao had already agree to 14 days when Floyd came back with this quote. I don't think it was coincidence that Manny said fine to 14 days, but "Huwag lang sa day ng fight (Just not on the day of the fight)"

No but PAC fans believe all the lies he's telling. Does a real fighter turn down 20+ million, then go to court or call floyds bluff pass the test then beat the living he'll out of him for startin these ridiculous rumors? I think if manny was as clean and innocent as he claims then there would of been no problems the first go around because Floyd gave in to the gloves, the weight, the 10 per pound stipulation, the 50-50 split. I don't agree with everything mayweather says but in this case he's right

He backed out of the mediation after Pac agreed to PBFs 14 day test limit. Pac agreed to meet PBF terms and to the terms of the mediation. Flat out and undeniable. At that point PBF changed tunes and wanted random testing all the way up to the day of the fight.

I wasn't talking about your response in particular or Manny for that matter. This topic has been talked about in these forums since the first fight negotiation. I have seen people not care about stronger testing in boxing, even going as far as saying Nevada's testing is fine despite the fact that we KNOW boxers have passed post fight drug tests while using. Hell, Bonds never failed a test either, but that doesn't stop people from saying he was a user. I never understood the 14 day cutoff they compromised on because that doesn't solve the overall issue. I could care less, I just want to see the fight. And boxing as a whole needs an upgrade regardless of Floyd's intentions

He DID NOT agree to Floyd's 14 day limit. Floyd offered that during the 1st negotiation in a last ditch effort to make the fight happen. Floyd originally asked for random tests until the fight (no cut off) but Pacquiao refused so he offered a cut off of 14 days, again Pacquiao refused. So now that the offer is off the table the stipulation remains no cut off. Pacquiao comes back saying I accept the 14 day limit. Well you can't it's no longer an option. It's like if I'm selling a car for 5,000 but I offer a deal to sell you the car for 2,000 and you pass on it, you can't come back months later demanding that I sell you the car for 2,000 when the price is 5,000.

The problem with your argument is that PBF didn't change the price of his "car" before they went to mediation. He only changed tunes once Pac said he would do it. He walked once Pac agreed to mediation terms. The 14 day limit was on the table prior to mediation and it was an agreed upon limit by the mediator...I'd guess partially due to PBF sticking to it like he did.

PBF doesn't make the rules. That's the obvious objection here. What gives him the right to dictate how things are done. Why go to mediation if you're going to back out if you don't get 100% of your way anyway.

I question PBFs original terms you mentioned above but I'm headed out the door and will be back later to touch on that. You could be right but I didn't remember it going down with his request for random testing up to the fight until later in the negotiations.

If the guy agreed to 14 days and at some point you agreed to 14 days, why push it back again? There are 2 answers: (1) Floyd wants to fight Pac but wants to make sure everyone on both sides knows who is calling the shots (As if the ridiculous purse split wasn't enough); (2) You don't really want to fight the guy.

                                ^This.

Floyd thinks he is the best thing to ever happen to boxing, and typically he's quite the opposite. While I do think that ALL professional athletes should be thoroughly monitored for cheating, and it is true that I've never seen a lightweight move up 4 or 5 divisions and literally fracture the skulls of the bigger fighters. You just can't keep changing the stipulations on the guy like Floyd has, for a fact, done to Pacquiao.

Alot of people in here trying to defend Floyd's negotiating tactics when it's common knowledge that he is a pain in the a** to make a fight deal with, Pacquiao is not the first to go through it. Floyd truly believes that we all want to watch him fight, when in truth most of us think he is boring and bad for the sport. I watch because I don't want to miss it when he finally gets KTFO. It will happen, I've seen him hurt more than once in his career, against far lesser oponents than Pacquiao. Pretty sure he recognizes this too, or he'd be alot more willing to give the fans what they want. Look at the Klitschko vs Haye fight coming up. Klitschko is taking a huge pay cut so that Haye will make enough money to satisfy him and stay in the fight, as well as Haye's stipulations as to where the fight can take place. You don't have to be a Klitschko fan, and I'm not, to appreciate what he's doing to give the fans a fight that they want to see. Now if we can just get him to fight his brother. lol
