If the devs make sure the sliders all work online and off, and give us a very deep Legacy Mode, then they'll have a winner on their hands 2 years from now.

I don't think the popularity of boxing can be blamed on any of the issues FNC has had up to this point.

I think it can. Boxing is receiving less and less mainstream media coverage as time goes by, and other sports are simultaneously growing in popularity among the main consumers of video games (young white males) while boxing declines. Go to any mainstream sports site and for the most part, boxing is tucked away in the minority sports section while UFC is given prominence exceeded only by America's major sports leagues.

a good game and word of mouth would make you play a fishing game, cat rubbing sim, or anything else not mainstream.
If this game had the detail to the sport like NBA 2K11 had for basketball it would have sold incredible numbers.
You know something is wrong when boxers on podcasts say so much isn't done right about this game

I doubt it. Genre is the number one factor in determining the purchases of most gamers. A stereotypical 'bro gamer' won't play a title like Stacking or Okami. There are so many examples of acclaimed games or titles with cult followings that don't blow up. Marketing plays a part too. FNC wasn't well promoted through the traditional channels.

I have a survey I put together for the producers and the results says volumes to why this game sold badly. Your Marketing post is so correct.

I can PM you the results so far if you like.
