    Have to give props...Great Tuner

EA took a long time to get this tuner out, but early observations are very positive.

Authentic Brutality is back. In fact its so far back that you have to turn the damage slider down.

Counter punchers are back, before this tuner, counter punches did not register.

The foot speed has been turned back up, Ali can fight like Ali again. And in a fight against AI Tyson, he came at me bobbing and weaving.

In fact if you leave the default sliders, turn down dmaage a click or 2 and raise up AI defensive awareness a click or two and offensive awareness a click or two, the game played very good and was challenging.

Now there is a premium on being defensive otherwise you'll get cut up smooth. This is how it needed to be implemented because you can't just go out flailing away. So you have to fight realistically. HW's were basically throwing around 50 punches in 2 minute rounds. May be a hair high, but the pace felt right to me.

Stamina has been tweaked a little bit, no AI zombie walking around by the 4th round.

Anyway, I think I can enjoy this game again with the DLC. The game feels like it was pre-patch, but possibly even better now. Time will tell, but I guarantee this tuner is a great improvement.

I will even go so far if you can get this game on the cheap now, its worth it.

I haven't thrown this game in the tray in months. I'll have to give it a try and see how it plays.

still such a shame about the freezes and cab/legacy bugs

such wasted potential.....could have been a nice little gem of a game, nothing spectacular, but decent

Theres no way I could recommend this game to anyone for more then 20-25 bucks with so many of the game modes still broken

I agree, thats why I said that if you can get the game on the cheap, its worth a pick up. I just mainly fight, fight now fights against the AI. At least I can do that now.

The only time I ever had freezes was when there were CAB's in my legacy. Legacy needs a whole new overhaul, but thats a different discussion.

Also, everyone remember that unlike other EA games that automatically load up the tuner, you have to go into an online mode to box in order for it to load. If you don't do that, you won't get the tuner.

It definitely fells more fluid. Two things I notice is one, you can penetrate the block to where you don't feel like the guy has a force field and your punch just floats. Second, I need to confirm this but I think they took out the zombie stun where when a guy gets stunned he doesn't do that weird slow motion walk. I put in three fights today and every time I stunned a guy he was still normal motion. It felt very natural to where I could sort of surround him and attack. I didn't have the sense that I was walking through mud.

I think the zombie stun is still there if you catch a guy, but definitely there were more of the quick stuns when I was playing offline last night.

Have you seen a 1 punch KO since the tuner?

No, but I only put in 3 fights and my guy doesn't have the one punch KO ability.

Re: Have to give props...Great Tuner

Hadnt really played FNC much since i beat Champion Mode. I played my first OWC fight a few moments ago, Middleweight division. I had default 78 boxer vs a 84 rated boxer.

Opponent came out aggressive throwing 100+ puches per round, with me only throwing around 50...trying to gauge and find his tendencies. He caught me with a hook in the 2nd that stunned me and eventually I hit the canvas.

In the mid third, i noticed his boxer laboring. I upped my punch output adto about 65 punches adding a little more to his mid section. Picked up on his tendency to combo punch when i move forward...i began to move foward, out of his range and stop. He throws wasted punches, i hit him with a couple of shots...rinse repeat til round is over. Two Power straights cut his eyes.

Next round, I up my aggression more b/c my stamina is 95% and his is definitely lower. Due to my strategy last round, I knew he would be hesitant throwing shots as i moved forward. So, i lead with the jab...Dodge his returns and counter. Face looks horrid at the end of this round. I'm still baby faced lol.

During these rounds he kept his punch output at 100+ PPR. After this, I just went for the kill the next round...he is gassed and too much facial damage to really trade shots. As expect, two knockdowns later, it was over. I landed around 45% w about 300 punches over 6rds to his 31% w/ 700+ total punches.

As a I said, havent played much, enjoyed the fight...expected to lose early b/c i had a lesser boxer and i went down early. But, my smart boxing and in game adjustments got me the win. I saw his face beat up badly but it was because of my clean punching...my damage was below 10%...i dont think all fights end in a blood bath but I havent played enough to give a 'real' opinion, but it seems possible to escape clean.

I will play more...i think i just needed a longer break from the game due to my FN3/4 ridiculous playing time.

It was in my OWC match. Anything else I can't comment on.
