Re: Have to give props...Great Tuner
Having played a few more online matches, if you are willing to trade, it will definitely turn in to a blood bath. I find myself very defensive and "lose" the first three rounds. After that, i destroy my tired, and predictable opponents. I'm enjoying playing the game regardless how far from "real" it is. Although, i can understand those who cant look past that.Comment

Re: Have to give props...Great Tuner
I didn't know the tuner dropped until last night. I tested out a few games in OWC and so far so good. I fought a few guys who threw a lot of punches. The first one tired out quickly and was easily able to knock him out.
My second opponent kept coming forward and I just stood there, blocked, and let him throw wild punches for several rounds, expecting him to tire. He eventually did, but it took till the 10th round to knock him out. I would have lost by a point without the KO.
Both opponents faces were beat up by the end of the fight. The first guy had a nasty gash and my other opponents eye was swollen nearly shut.Comment

Re: Have to give props...Great Tuner
EA took a long time to get this tuner out, but early observations are very positive.
Authentic Brutality is back. In fact its so far back that you have to turn the damage slider down.
Counter punchers are back, before this tuner, counter punches did not register.
The foot speed has been turned back up, Ali can fight like Ali again. And in a fight against AI Tyson, he came at me bobbing and weaving.
In fact if you leave the default sliders, turn down dmaage a click or 2 and raise up AI defensive awareness a click or two and offensive awareness a click or two, the game played very good and was challenging.
Now there is a premium on being defensive otherwise you'll get cut up smooth. This is how it needed to be implemented because you can't just go out flailing away. So you have to fight realistically. HW's were basically throwing around 50 punches in 2 minute rounds. May be a hair high, but the pace felt right to me.
Stamina has been tweaked a little bit, no AI zombie walking around by the 4th round.
Anyway, I think I can enjoy this game again with the DLC. The game feels like it was pre-patch, but possibly even better now. Time will tell, but I guarantee this tuner is a great improvement.
I will even go so far if you can get this game on the cheap now, its worth it.Comment

Re: Have to give props...Great Tuner
Greatly appreciated if anyone can tell me how i can install or download the new FNC tuner for xbox? I vaguely recall there was an update option to when I started my console in the past. There is no such message to download anything when I start it now. And I believe I am still playing with the last tuner that was released months ago.Comment

You have to go in and try to fight an online match, it will prompt the tuner download then.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

Re: Have to give props...Great Tuner
i love the new tuner set, i play it on ps3. question, let's say FNC 2 or whatever the next version is called is released and it is not as good as this one (imo, they've gotten progressively better, so maybe i'm wondering for nothing) and they (ea) turn off the online aspect of FNC...does that mean access to the latest tuner will be wiped out...i know it's a while away, just wondering...i've never experienced a tuner like this in a game that wasn't an actual file download and depended on signing into the network. thanks.Comment

Re: Have to give props...Great Tuner
I don't know how cuts are online but they are way overdone offline.
No matter what i do with the sliders, my fights constantly get stopped in the middle rounds due to cuts. Neither the ref awareness nor damage slider seem to do anything.
I also do not like the new stamina. Guys are back to throwing 100 punches per round and not being penalized.Comment
