Re: Hector Camacho shot!
I wouldn't call it a boxing tragedy. I wouldn't call it a tragedy at all if he purposely put himself in the position of consorting with drug dealers and the like. It's senseless. You have millions of dollars earned from grueling amounts of time conditioning yourself to basically be a fighting machine and this is your ending? Ya. Senseless.Comment

Re: Hector Camacho shot!
he's had severe financial problems ever since his career ended....he's obviously made some bad life decisions, to say the least. sad.Comment

Just because he may have put himself in the position doesn't make it any less of a tragedy man. Any time someone loses they're life from causes other than natural it's a tragedy. Even a drug dealer. That's somebody's son, or nephew, or uncle, brother, sister, mother, etc. Bad life decisions or not, being killed is a tragedy.Comment

RIP Hector Camacho. Really is sad to have this happen.

I wouldn't consider even what has happened to Muhammad Ali as being a tragedy because he willingly stepped into the ring and, I'm sure, understood the risks of constant blows to the head over the years. Tragedy would have been something like Ali losing his life in a car accident not of his own doing at the prime of his career.Comment

Re: Hector Camacho shot!
I have no sympathy for Hector Camacho. He chose that lifestyle. He knew what he was getting himself into. He knew what the consequences of those decisions could potentially be.Comment

Re: Hector Camacho shot!
Many of you are missing the point and don't know much about Hector Camacho or Puerto Rico beyond what the media tells you. I have talked to many of friend who are from the island of P.R and they say at night that it's incredible dangerous in Puerto Rico; more dangerous depending on the area.
My friends tell me you have to run the lights at night and hope another car isn't coming through the intersection. It's odd because Hector Camacho Jr. posts on Twitter and I joked about it with him earlier this year when he said he was going for a run.
Hector Camacho was making huge strides in regaining his life. People tend to not let you escape your pass. Hector Camacho wasn't a murders or anything horrible. He just had an addiction and demons he was trying to get rid of. He seemed to be well on his way with his reality show and other projects he was working on.Poe is an advocate for realistic boxing videogames.Comment
