Did Pac say he would do the rematch in Australia?

If all three judges rendered a 115-113 decision, I would have given Horn a shot. When I heard the 117-111 score I knew Horn didn't get it.
the good news...very enjoyable (and on espn). bad news...horrible decision. the funny part is when i heard 117-111, i thought that was too big of a margin for MANNY. lol.

i think it's a great idea.....both fighters will gain much more popularity than they would being on hbo. with good showings, that is.

The decision was wrong. But the main topic that no one is talking about is the steep decline of Manny Pacquiao.

Pacman won that fight. He also looked terrible. No jab. No body shots. Very unimaginative offense. He looked like a spent fighter against an inferior opponent.

It's a good thing nobody wants the Mayweather-Pacquiao rematch, as Floyd would pick apart Manny this time even if both of Pac's shoulders are healthy.

It also might be a good time for Bud Crawford to fight Pacquiao to increase his status. Crawford would decimate the Pacquiao we saw last night, which would elevate his star because people still inhale the myth that Manny is the same fighter we worshipped in 2009.

You must have missed my comments earlier or Jaybee's. It was one of the first things I said that he wouldn't beat anyone of significance anymore. I also said that he hasn't looked good since before Marquez put him to sleep. Atlas was trying his best to make pacman look good but he truly looked awful. Crawford has been trying to fight Manny the past couple of years and Manny keeps ducking him. No way he ever takes that fight. It will be a horn rematch.

I don't think there are that many boxing fans that have thought Pacquiao has been a dangerous fighter since 2012. The 4th Marquez fight was basically the end of his effective career as a title threat, and I think most people knew that at the time.

By the time of Pac-Mayweather, it was widely acknowledged that both fighters were well past their prime. So Manny looked about the same to me as he has for the better part of the past half-decade, which is why I think a lot of people aren't commenting on that. It's not like he had a sudden, precipitous, obvious decline in one night, like Sergio Martinez vs. Miguel Cotto (or really against Murray, but he was still Maravilla enough to pull that one out....).

Pac has looked like a shell of himself for some time now. Last night was simply more of the same.

I do like Horn's fighting style, but he needs to get a new trainer to discipline him in the art of NOT rushing in to throw punches. Of course, that will not happen.

Atlas was so far up Pac's so and so he could taste Brylcreem.

Ain't that the truth. You would've thought that he was training him and not Bradley

I think you guys are conflating the decision and old Pac.

Pac looked as good as expected. He won the fight, that's all that could be asked of him. We know he ain't KOing anyone any time soon, and he ain't touching the elites of the division. He still handles most of the division though.

Horn came out and shot his shot, that's all that could be asked of him.

Exactly...PAC looked old. He hasn't had any KO power in ever. He's not going to beat an elite welterweight.

Having said that, he easily won this fight.

Pac wouldn't look any different in my eyes if they had have stopped the fight in the ninth round.

Although Crawford and probably others are disappointed at the decision, does it really make that much of a difference in terms of getting a money fight with Pac? It is generally thought that he did not lose, so it's still the biggest money bout for any top welterweight right now.

Horn coming into every exchange head first is gonna be funny when he faces someone who can side step/step back and bang him on the chin with some thump.

It was an entertaining fight overall. Was never really a big fan of Pac in boxing because I felt like he let Bob Arum run him too much (and you could argue that is how he lost to Bradley the first time). But he has had a very good career and its always sad to see guys decline so much. I really hope he doesn't take the rematch and just goes about his business. He's made plenty of money and isn't a draw so why keep doing it?
