    Definitely moving to 160 eventually.

Yeah, that was kind of tough to watch. I won't question Ali's heart though. He just kept getting up. I can't wait to see what's next for Manguia!

I hope he does climb to 160. That's a stacked division with plenty of good money fights for him.

Lara wouldn't fight him because of the risk/reward factor and Jermell Charlo is fighting Austin Trout for the WBC 154 title in June. Jarrett Hurd is a possibility as Kell Brook probably tries to angle for a more lucrative and easier fight with Khan.

None of those guys will deliver as much money in a U.S.-based fight as GGG, Canelo or Danny Jacobs. Saunders will deliver equal money as Brook or Khan in the UK.

Just move to 160 and get it over with.

Khan wouldn't even consider fighting him. He won't fight Brook at 154 and that would be a huge payday.

Whether he stays at 154 (which I think he will for a while) or goes up he'll need a fight or two before getting a shot at the bigger names. I'd really like to see him fight Hurd for a couple of more 154 pound titles.

Arum is still dreaming about Lomo and Paq at 140 and Mikey's fallout with the Top Rank promoter won't help make that fight anytime soon either. Both camps would be concerned about risk versus reward also.

EDIT: It looks like Mikey has agreed to terms to fight Robert Easter on July 28 at Staples Center.

I guess Munguia won't be a junior middleweight much longer.

Pac said he would consider dropping to 135 to fight Loma. Pacquiao would be so drained that he would get destroyed.

It has a tonne of insight info on the Tyson-Douglas bout.

Most info is out there, such as Tyson not bothering to train and spending his time enjoying Japanese prostitutes and watching Kung-fu movies.

But some other great nibblets were in there.

                      - Tyson employed Greg Page as his sparring partner. Everyone recalls that Page floored Tyson in sparring prior to this fight.

But I didn't know that when Tyson was still Tyson and training right, he destroyed and humbled Page in a previous training camp. The way they describe it, it was a complete destruction.

Page was so embarrassed that he trained for the Douglas training camp like he was fighting for the championship.

He was the one that totally dominated Tyson in Tokyo.

And I recall Page being a very legit prospect at one point.

                      - Tyson refused to do his roadwork, but his team still got their runs in.

One early morning with Team Tyson on the road, they saw this big dude in work boots running ahead. Someone quickly recognized it as being Douglas so they figured they'd try to help Tyson's chances by intimidating Douglas.

The plan was to catch-up and surround him, hoping to rattle him a bit.

When they reached him, it was obvious that Douglas had already been out running a lot longer than they had. But when Douglas saw them, he kicked it into high gear and left them all in the dust.

One of the Tyson team members found out he had run 15 miles that day and looked like he could have run another 5 without much effort.

It was then Team Tyson knew their man was in a lot of trouble.

Give it a read if any of you are interested.

Regarding Rooney, I think it's quite obvious Tyson fired them because they forced him to work so hard. Rooney used to padlock the fridge because Tyson was always eating.

They'd throw him a bone once in a while by allowing him to eat Captain Crunch without milk.

The sad part is, Tyson was renowned for his work ethic. Holyfield even said that when they trained together in the Olympics that nobody worked harder than Mike. He blew everyone away with his preparation. Even at 17, he was training like a pro.

Another sad note is that in the book Bad Intentions, it was said that Mike wanted to retire after the Spinks fight. He was tired of the training, pressure, etc... I can't say I blame him.

He was barely 23 and had already had nearly 40 fights. From the time he was 13, he'd been working and training like a maniac.

Bill Cayton had convinced Mike to stay with him and not sign with Don King.

The plan was to fight 4 more times and then retire.

If memory serves, his final 4 fights would have been against Bruno, Douglas, Ruddock and then Holyfield.

I would have loved to see how a prime, focused and properly trained Tyson would have done against all 4.

                      Oh well...

Sorry guys, realized I went down a weird Tyson Rabbit hole there.

I'm a huge, huge Tyson fan. So much so, I have to force myself to watch the Douglas fight.

When the anniversary of that fight is played on TSN (like it always is), I cringe and rarely tune in.

It was great reading this. I knew much of it already and I love Tyson too bro.

The Teddy Atlas book was great and he went into a lot of detail on a young Tyson.

*Nomaschenko is fighting Ray Beltran next (tough/rugged fighter)

*Mikey Garcia is going up against Robert Easter Jr (not an easy fight)

*Mungia - would love to see him attempt to clean up 154. He is going to be a force. His next bout could Liam Smith. He has his eye on a Mexico vs Mexico bout against Canelo Alvarez.

I don't think he has time to clean up 154 by the end of the year (Munguia 160), but even if he did Charlo is chopped liver?

Not quite official yet, even with an apparent date (July 28). Easter barely survived in his last fight. Although Fortuna is no scrub he is no Mikey Garcia. I'll be watching though.

He'll be tenderized for sure. Lomo can count it as sparring rounds.

God, I hope Jack kicks Stevenson's azz. Stevenson is the most overhyped, overrated fighter in the higher weight classes. He calls out everyone and fights no one. Fraud.
