Way too many fights nowadays on PPV that shouldn't be. I refuse to pay for any of them. It's absurd!

I would pay a $19.95 DAZN fee for the fight like I'll do for Bivol/Zurdo' Ramirez in November but the undercard is too weak for me to consider $75. I really like tonight's matchup though.

and we are TRUE boxing fans and we won't pay to see them so who is actually buying these fights. SMH. saw highlights of ruiz vs. ortiz and it was entertaining but just not ppv worthy in my opinion. now ruiz vs. wilder IS ppv worthy. so you SET UP THE PPV by showing the previous fights for free and IF wilder takes care of business, THEN you strike gold. you promote the sport of boxing when you make it easier for us to see the build up to the big ppv fight. THEN we (and the casual fan) will pay. the promotion companies seem to think boxing is as popular as UFC and it is NOT (unfortunately).

Excellent post and I agree!! itd sad but thats the way it used to be you built these fighters up on tv to get the casual fans attached!! I get its a different eta but PBC was on a roll before covid doing this they even had some great fights as bug attractions on a Saturday Night!!! the insulting thing is they ate just throwing fightd out there and still not paying attention to how low the figures are !! Its insulting to put Oryiz vs Martin on PPV much less Ruiz vs Martin personally they aint worth the money I worked for!! and im getting heated at the Crawfords and Spences of the game its just talk talk talk no one believes in true legacy fghts canelo has tried but its the bag or nothing for alot of these fighters!! I love Floyd and what he did for boxing but-he created and opened a bad pandoras box that the casusl fan is not opening!!

And what adds to the ridiculousness is the terrible undercards on these PPVs. Say what you want about Don King, but back in the day his PPV promotions always had excellent fighters and great matchups on the undercard. We almost always felt like we got our money's worth, even when the main event didn't live up to expectations.

spencer-salgado was a nice treat for free on fox for the ruiz-ortiz undercard. two young unbeaten prospects facing each other is a rarity these days. good fight with spencer outboxing salgado. and you are right, the undercards nowadays are almost like an afterthought. let's just throw any fights under there. how about some co-main events? UFC does it, so it can be done.

I'm really tempted to get the GGG-Alvarez 3 fight.
But I fear the end will not be good for GGG and I don't know if I can stomach to watch it.
At 168, I think GGG has a much greater chance of being KO'd.
If it goes to the cards, well, we know he won't have a chance in hell of getting that.
Bivol completely outclassed him for 12 rounds and the scores made it look like it was a close, competitive fight when it was anything but.

Fury Vs Joshua apparently on for December 3rd. If reports are true AJ agreed to a 40/60 split including another 40/60 short split in a potential rematch.

                        Yeah, gimme Fury.

Don’t trust AJ after his last few fights.

AJ sucks... He doesn't deserve this fight. Fury should beat him with very little difficulty

Agreed. I don't see this fight being competitive at all.
Props to AJ for securing an extremely lucrative fight coming off back-to-back losses, though.

Added; it's really a shame that AJ, Fury and Wilder, while all undefeated, couldn't have fought one another closer to their primes.
Fury and Wilder at least went at it, but AJ ducked and ran from both guys. Us fans were robbed of a really special matchup between Fury and AJ when both were undefeated.

I'd be far more interested in a Wilder-AJ bout. But it's likely AJ wants no part of Wilder.

Disagree w/ both of you. AJ should have fought Fury and in my opinion stands a much better chance than Usyk because of his size and strength and style actually as well.

Before Fury is done I wanted to see this fight and now it's coming - awesome. IF the odds are too far skewed for Fury I may even wager a $50 or something on AJ. Don't count him out, it's not like the Usyk fight was a stinker or anything - he had him in trouble! To me the losses to Usyk don't diminish him and the Ruiz loss there was some concussion talk from his training and it's the bloody heavyweight division - I don't care about undefeated. This is the best heavyweight match currently availalbe in the world. After that maybe big baby gets a shot at Fury but I doubt there is enough time for that. Usyk is just too small and I don't think that would be an entertaniing fight v fury imo. I agree though that AJ v Wilder would be nice as well. Wilder v Ruiz as well.

I don't think AJ is a scrub, but Ruiz could have won that rematch if he wasn't in such terrible shape. Haven't said that it was somewhat impressive that he prevailed in that fight given his change in tactics and conditioning. I actually want to see this one and will absorb a PPV price if necessary.
