First I'm hearing about the drug testing.

Ruiz got a great payday ($7 million) considering he was a last minute replacement. Speaking of drug testing Jarrell Miller is an idiot for missing out on that money.

How about Khan and Billy Dib fighting for the WBC Pearl Welterweight belt? WTF is that, not to mention Dib is a 130-pounder moving up to 147.

Boxing would be SO much better without sanctioning bodies.

It appears Wilder and Fury will rematch February 22nd assuming Wilder beats Ortiz in October or November and Fury is victorious against whoever he's fighting in October.

I hate saying this. But there is definitely plenty of time for both of them to figure out a way to avoid fighting each other again. I think Fury probably shouldn't fight until it is the winner of Wilder vs Ortiz.

Let me clarify I did not see the fight only following it via round updates. I've heard accounts that one judge had no right scoring the bout for Thurman.

Thurman has heart and athleticism, but he also has a so-so chin (at best) and isn't the puncher everyone thought he was when he was knocking out lesser opponents. No shame losing to even a 40-year-old Pac in a competitive bout but will it put him in demand? Does anyone want to see rematches with Porter and Garcia? Is there any financial upside for Spence or Crawford to fight him? When will he get injured again?

From most accounts I'm hearing this was a very good fight.

Purses: Pac $10 million, Thurman $2.5

It was a competitive fight. Pac controlled most of the early rounds and the back end of the fight. Thurman was coming on in a couple of rounds between 6 and 8 I think. Landed some decent shots and pacman was really not pressing forward the way he was earlier in the fight. Pacman in like round 8 or 9 landed a huge punch to the body that I was surprised thurman was able to finish the fight. After that body punch it brought the fight back to pacman because thurman was definitely feeling that punch to kidney or ribs. I was surprised but the said thurman actually landed more punches then pacman. Pacman had the more significant punches and he had the flash knockdown at the beginning. I honestly wouldn't mind them running it back. It was a good fight. Probably one of the better fights I have seen from pacman in awhile.

Agree it was a good fight , I think Thurman's power is overrated but his heart is underrated. He got hit with a body blow that I thought broke his rib and I guarantee you made him urinate blood...That was as wicked a body shot that I have seen in a long time. I think he was gaining momentum at that point because Pac was wearing down,. I think Pacs hand speed is still there but what I am concerned about is what you pointe out about the amount of shots Thurman landed. I am talking about clean shots that Pac took but in he overall grand scheme of his health and age can't be for his long term well being or his ability to beat a Spence or Crawford. His defensive reflexes are quickly diminishing and if he keeps pushing the envelope will wind up face down on the canvas again. I have to think he takes some easy fights in pursuit of a floyd rematch . I was very surprised at Thurmans reaction to the shots he took from a much smaller welterweight..But very entertaining fight looking forward to Spence vs Porter..

I don't think it's overrated anymore. He's had one stoppage in his last seven fights.

I wonder if Porter's bullrush style can give Spence any kind of trouble???
