Good fight Saturday coming up: 2 UFC cards on the same day and Donaire and Froch vs. Groves 2. Should be incredible.

Not a UFC fan, but very much agree about Froch vs. Groves 2 and Donaire going up in weight to challenge for a featherweight title. Froch-Groves is in London, while Donaire-Vetyeka is in China. The card starts at 4 PM EST, so I'm assuming Froch-Groves will follow Donaire-Vetyeka.

I mentioned Denton Daley the Cruiserweight a couple of times, here is a press release article on him that just came out and there is a youtube vid link in it showing his stuff

I remember you mentioning him a few months ago. He looks talented but he's not a huge puncher (just saw the video). Too bad he's in the limbo division of boxing. I'd like to see him get a chance at a title though.

Anyone else think that the winner of Froch-Groves would make a good opponent for GGG, even if it has to be at 168?

Why not Ward at 168 for GGG?

Heads up for anyone that doesn't know the overseas fight card (Froch vs. Groves, Donaire-Vetyeka) starts in about 35 minutes. (HBO)

Well Froch's knocked Groves out in the 8th. Sweet right hander nearly knocked Groves straight out cold.

Wouldn't be surprised if Froch retired. You don't get bigger than that fight in Britain in particular.

The overhead view really showed the impact of Froch's right hand.

EDIT: Take that back. The slightly below canvas view showed a better picture.

Entertaining fight that picked up after four rounds, but bottom line Groves was outclassed. What Froch lacks in defensive technique he more than makes up with heart, a great chin and B+ power.

Yeah, just read where Froch pulled in over $13 million for this fight. That's a good retirement.

Schaefer is out at Golden Boy

Richard Schaefer, the former Swiss banker who co-founded Golden Boy Promotions with close friend Oscar De La Hoya in 2002 and has served as its only chief executive, resigned on Monday.
