Either way, i doubt it goes the distance.

Also watched frampton destroy alboras, good showcase. I really hope he fights rigondeaux or santa cruz(who seriously needs to fight somebody good).
Didn't know about Chavez Jr-Fanfora. That one will be in California on ShowTime while Matthysse-Provodnikov will be an HBO telecast in New York.

Fonfara gave Stevenson a good run, so this actually has the makings for a very good fight. Looking forward to April 18th.

Some good boxing ahead. This Saturday we get Thurman-Guerrero and Broner-Molina.

      Re: Boxing Off-Topic

I don't see GGG taking on Ward. It's high-risk and very low reward as Ward isn't exactly a well known fighter.
And seeing that it's out of his weight-class, I don't see the need for GGG taking this fight.
Not many people, including fans, are demanding this fight.

I'll echo what so many have stated, I'd much prefer to see GGG take on the winner of Quillen-Lee and Canelo.

I'm also in 100% agreement that Cotto wants NO part of GGG. That would be such an overwhelming mismatch that I would consider bringing up criminal charges if it ever took place.
Cotto is a JrMW, not a true MW. He would be absolutely killed against GGG and I think Canelo would actually do some serious damage to him as well.
I hate saying that because I'm a big Cotto fan, but he's out of his depth at 160 against the biggest names.

The problem with GGG is that he's quickly running out of quality opponents at MW.
If/when he dispatches of Lee/Quillen and eventually Canelo (DLH can't run and hide forever), which big name or challenge is left?
Maybe if Chavez JR can find a way to get back down to 160 or at the very least 165?
(I only mention Chavez JR because he has a big name, and because of his strong chin, large following and propensity for blowing up to 185 on fight night, I think it would be an entertaining fight.
I still think GGG destroys him and quite easily, but it would like watching a top lumberjack taking 12 rounds to knock down a stubborn tree.
Chavez hasn't exactly looked good over the past 2 years, but this fight is a bit on the freakshow side of things which, I think, would attract some morbid affection from fans and media).

I'm pleasantly surprised by how much incredible boxing is on all the networks (even NBC has an amazing card coming up). It's been years since this volume of good fights has been on the docket. Honestly, even in the hey-day of boxing, they never showed multi-fight cards in their entirety like we get now (except on PPV...although I did say in boxing's hey-day, which would predate PPV in my opinion). The Sweet Science is finally getting some due. Maybe we'll even see double-digit #'s of posters in the boxing threads from now on!!!

Yep, 2015 is looking to be a great year for boxing, soo many good fights happening, and potential fights. Also, i've been hearing that khan might actually fight kell brook, so hopefully that can be added to the list of fights i'm excited to see this year.

Yeah, even Spike TV has Shawn Porter and Berto fighting (not each other) on Friday the 13th.

That fight will be the unbearable cockney accent throw-down to end them all...

Love that promo with the great Muhammad Ali's voice in the background. The sport has needed that kind of "personalization" of it's fighters for a while.

Great card considering the underdogs are 4-1 (Guerrero) and 5-1 (Molina).

The odds of BOTH Guerrero AND Molina winning are a fat 33-1.

Yes. Like him or hate him. Al Haymon has managed to get a stable of exciting fighters together. It also gives me hope for the next generation of boxing games. If someone can lock his fighters into a likeness deal ans make a great sim....

I have to like him a lot. If tonight's an indication, he's good for the sport.
