    Re: Boxing Off-Topic

Does anyone believe GGG-Canelo is actually going to happen in Fall of 2017? Or ever, for that matter? I don't see too many hands raised out there.....

A Canelo Alvarez-Gennady Golovkin showdown has been tabled until at least the fall of 2017, a decision agreed to after the sides met Monday.

Pure stall tactics. At some point the fight might be made but they're stalling right now.

Presently Jacobs is about the only viable opponent for GGG.

maybe they want to build a ppv fan base for GGG, i don't know....but they need to make this fight while both fighters are at their peak.

          It'll never happen.
Yellow Alvarez is sooooooo scared of GGG he won't touch him until he's shown some considerable aging.

Expect this fight to take place in 2019+.

Until then, Yellow will continue to fight between 154 and 158 making up his own weight classes to avoid Golovkin at all costs.

I'm shocked that such a warrior like DLH, who fought anyone and everyone, is doing this.

I'm shocked that people are shocked that Oscar is doing something like this. Rags on Floyd for years about not giving the fans what they want to see and then turns around and ,instead of giving fans the fight they want to see, gives us Yellow vs Liam Smith at 154.

Yeah, I had Thurman slightly more than by a razor. He landed the better shots throughout, although Porter was effective when he had Keith on the ropes. Not sure why the fans are booing.

And yeah, it was great fight.

I think I had it close because he threw a lot on the inside. Thurman definitely had the cleaner effective punches. I think some fans just don't like Thurman. I think he was getting booed when he fought Guerro too. Love that this was a great fight for free

I can't comprehend fans not liking Thurman. He's an electric fighter that need to find his KO power at 147 but he a guy I personally think can get to Floyds chin.

I aggree. He always brings it. I think that he is quick and fast enough to get to him. He throws plenty of different combos and I think he is clever enough to get to him. Floyd always dismissed him by just saying he isn't there yet or hasn't earned it etc etc

fight of the year contender, for sure....styles make fights and this was a match made in heaven. fights like this on free tv can save boxing. the booing puzzled me, what more did you fans want? these guys laid it on the line. porter has an iron chin. thurman got the edge by rocking him a few times but the man never went down.
