@edaddy you mentioned “Big Baby” Jarrell Miller. I like his confidence and promo skills to get you excited for his fight. My concern/opinion is that he doesn’t have the “food” discipline to truly get the next level.

I can almost imagine him coming into his biggest fights out of shape ala Chris Arreola whom early on before weight issues was nice with those combos for a heavy weight.

Hope I’m totally wrong about this and Big Baby, Wilder, Joshua, etc continue to grow this division again.

That list of career foes isn't exactly Murderers' Row. You can make case that Ortiz is the only truly legitimate opponent Wilder has faced.
true....the list included ty cobb and charlie brown. lol. but seriously, it was a combination of a lack of talent in the division and probably no one wanting to fight him as well.

We have to also consider he didn’t have much of an amateur career and was really learning on the job.

LOL naw I don't know if I am excited to see him fight one of them but he does have some boxing skills and knockout power..All it takes is one shot in the heavyweights and it's lights out..if I am their managers I am getting this done right now ..If they were both head and shoulders above everyone else in the division I would milk it but facing Big Baby, or Ortiz again can derail a big money payday for both..Wilder especially has too many flaws in his game it's just a matter of time ..go to the U.K make the money..if he loses he still has time to get his career on track..But again Ig I am him I am setting up my family for life now...

It looks like it has finally been confirmed. Wilder has been given a flat fee $12.5 million take it or leave it offer to fight Joshua.

There are estimates that the fight would generate $50-$100 million dollars or more.

Wilder would be nuts to reject that sum.

Joshua is the definite A side in this event, as he is the draw for about 89,500 of the 90,000 rabid fans who will fill Wembley to see this fight. Joshua is the guy who beat the best heavyweight of the last 15 years, Klitschko.

Wilder has almost zero leverage and is vulnerable to lose to almost anyone with his shoddy defense and unorthodox style that is so susceptible to counters. So he should take this money, put up a great fight and stand to make three times as much in a rematch.

the sooner the better is what i say.....boxing needs this fight. the heavyweight division needs this fight. to go over there and beat joshua on his turf would be something and to bring the title (and belts) over back to the u.s. could bring the heavyweight division back to the spotlight again. wilder is as hungry as they come and joshua was not spectacular in his last fight. now is the time.

Floyd and Conor are not above scamming the public to earn some more green.

Was watching a UFC show and there is speculation that this MMA match will have hybrid rules which exclude takedowns, submissions, elbows... Basically it's going to be a boxing match in a cage.

Jason Whitlock and Cormier both said it sounds like most MMA weapons will be nerfed.
But I don't recall hearing that kicks wouldn't be allowed.
Michael Bisping was losing his mind, lol.
Kept saying it couldn't be called a MMA match since there wasnt much 'Mixed' allowed, hahaha.

It won't matter though as both guys will make a tonne of dough.
Both MMA and boxing fans will be falling over themselves to buy this 'fight'.

The only possible reason anyone would want to see Floyd fight in the UFC is to see him get destroyed. If you're gonna waste our time with that -- whatever; but don't give us some Nerfed version of MMA to accomplish this goal. It would be a sad sight to see if this ever comes to pass.

I'm convinced that the two will have engaged in a gentleman's agreement to not seriously hurt one another.
Probably so they can have a third fight.

I'm also quite sure Connor has no interest in ever fighting in a real MMA bout again.
Making $100M sparring with Mayweather took all the hunger out of him.
