Plus Mayweather's legal fees are huge for his penchant for hitting women and for Ponzi schemes like this:

Canelo doesn't live anywhere near as high on the hog as Mayweather. Only an effing moron like Mayweather can need money after earning nearly $500 million in his career. Pacquiao is the same.

Mayweather would be the favorite against almost anyone in the world except Spence or Crawford. Those are true 50-50 fights, which means Mayweather will never get near them.

Man I am going to have to disagree on this one no way he is a favorite against canelo..and its definently not 50 50 against spence or crawford..first their is a reason he isnt clamoring to fight canelo..notice he only responded with a pic of his last fight with canelo devoid of actually stating lets do it like he did with khabib pac and mcgregor..the spence or crawford fight would look like leonard vs norris ..his body simply couldnt respond..mayweather is a smart dude he gets his name in the media and looks for the quick loot..you will never see him agree to a fight with a live boxer at this point..he is 41 almost 42 man..I wouldnt want to see him go out like that..floyd has too much smarts and pride too take a risk..pac isnt one..

I think Spence would blow Floyd away.

Canelo an underdog against an aging Mayweather?

Bottom line Floyd wants to keep his "0" and make a boatload of cash so he ain't touching Spence or Canelo.

Or Crawford or Thurman, or Porter lol. He would easily take pacman on though. Easy.

the funny thing is guys, HE is the one who proposed the rematch with pac and announced it....so he obviously thinks the risk factor is low enough for him (with highest payday available) to take the fight. however, pac was hurt last time and it still was a fairly close fight for the most part. i can't see why he takes this chance at this point. just retire and preserve your coveted undefeated record and call it a career. i know he would be favored against pac in the rematch and he's been lucky enough to steal some decisions in his illustrious career (castillo, de la hoya) so he needs to quit while he's ahead. apollo: "man, i won but i didn't beat him!!!" (and want another payday) duke: "let it go....let it go. you're the champ." (and still undefeated).

anyone catch the andrade fight last night? great fight. how that guy remained standing is a mystery to me but he was amazingly game. what a chin. how the ref let this go on is beyond me, but the man kept punching, so he gave him a chance to come back. andrade is ready for canelo and will hopefully be fighting him for one of canelo's fights on his DAZN deal. if DAZN, can somehow sign lampley to announce some of their bigger fights, that would be great. i am really going to miss him announcing big fights.

How has Canelo improved so drastically from their first fight to make you think he would be a solid favorite over Mayweather? He still has nothing in his arsenal to cope with even diminshed quickness and defense by Mayweather.

Plus Canelo would need to kill himself to make 154, which would drain much of his power.

Both Spence and Crawford have fought no one with the kind of defensive skill and ring nous as Mayweather. Not even close. Plus Crawford is a blown-up junior welter, so his power wouldn't translate that much against Mayweather.

Mayweather would destroy Thurman, who isn't that good and is protected by Haymon. Same with Porter, who is just a slightly younger and more fierce version of Marcos Maidana.

Look, I despise Mayweather as a human being. But the dude is the Tom Brady of boxing -- he's ageless. How often did he get hit cleanly in his bouts? Who is the last guy to even buckle him? Shane Mosley in Round 2? Maidana once or twice in their first fight?

You can't measure Mayweather's career mileage by normal standards. He always is in shape. He's still in the gym. He never blew up between fights. I bet he walks around lighter than 160, so he needs to lose 10-12 pounds to make welterweight. Big deal.

Fights against Crawford, Canelo and Spence would be tough for Mayweather, so that's why he'll never take them. But he would be the favorite in all three because Mayweather is the second-best defensive fighter I've seen in my 53 years, behind only Sweet Pea Whitaker.

Caught last three rounds of Andrade, as I also watched ESPN+ card with very fun main event between Brant and Murata, during which tons of leather were traded. Will watch full Andrade fight -- thanks for tip.

Andrade-Canelo is a very good, very real fight now that Canelo is on DAZN. Let's have it in 2019! I'd almost rather see that bout than a third fight with GGG.

Nice to see DAZN sign Buffer and the VERY underrated David Diamante as ring announcers. But yep, Lampley needs to stay in boxing. He's the GOAT of play-by-play ring announcers, and I don't think he's ready to retire, even at age 69.

Brian Kenny is a boxing guy and solid as the lead voice of DAZN. But Lampley would be an upgrade.

Regardless of Lamps' next destination, please, please, PLEASE, DAZN: Get rid of Ray Leonard NOW. Sugar offers absolutely nothing to the telecast than a mastery of the obvious and an unwillingness to have an opinion or insight on anything. He's an empty suit. Horrible.

We basically agree. I never said that he wouldn't be favored in the fights. I just said that he wouldn't take them on at this point of his career.
