I know what you meant and for the most part I agree, just pointing out in this era of 250 belts having one at least means you will have a title fight to offer TV networks.

I do think the Khan rematch is intruiging. Good fight, controversial result the first time. As soon as he get KO'd again, as you mentioned....

Actually, on a semi-serious note, the fact that both guys (Peterson and Khan) are so KO-able makes their potential re-match a lot more interesting in some ways IMO.

I'm not sure I'm ready to assign a weak chin to Peterson-this was his only KO loss. Has he been hurt in other fights? I don't know. I didn't see the Khan fight.

The stock is dropping for both these guys. I'm not sure how compelling their rematch would be.

No, good call - way to check my off-the-cuff statement (sincerely). Probably too hasty on my part to say he's got a weak chin; he hasn't been KO'd before and while I wouldn't say his chin is granite, he hasn't been hurt badly a lot in the fights I've seen. Maybe an over-reaction to the heavy-fisted Matthysse.

Agree their re-match isn't as compelling as the first time, but still a fight I would look forward to. The first one was a good fight, and it's a grudge match given how controversial the first one was (due to the ref taking 2 points away from Khan in what could be seen as overly harsh decisions).

Not a totally invalid comment. Two good fighters (Judah and Alexander) weathered the power storm and beat Matthysse in controversial, but close decisions. Peterson looked overwhelmed.

Good points also. Which is why it seemed to me like Matthysse's overwhelming power seems relatively newfound...I mean, I can't claim to have watched a lot of his fights, but I've seen a handful (including the aforementioned Alexander fight), and while he hit hard, I don't remember him having Tyson-like KO-ability. Maybe it's just the opponents he's faced lately, or maybe he's honed his power? Maybe I just haven't been paying close enough attention.
