Of course he knew. I can also see someone from Floyds camp making sure the fight went on as planned. The both stood to lose a lot if the fight fell through.

So now Floyd has to be in on Manny not disclosing his injury? Gotta keep the hatred of him going somehow right?

So, just to get some last shots in on a long-dead and decomposing horse, here's Larry Merchant (who I don't particularly like) calling the fight a "boring con job"....

            http://www.cnn.com/videos/sports/201...ular-domestic/

Now, everyone who watches the fights regularly knows Merchant and Mayweather aren't exactly in a mutual admiration society, but even though I rarely agree with him, you can't say Larry Merchant doesn't know anything about boxing. So at least one boxing "expert" is on record that the fight was boring....

he didn't have to be in on it, I just think he was. Manny could have acted alone he had plenty of reasons to fight and take the money. Pretty odd that the tickets weren't released until right before the fight. I wonder if there was talk about manny backing out at any point.

Merchant has been around for a long time. This was funny.

Man, i can't stand merchant, when he commentated it used to crack me up when actual boxers(like roy jones) would correct him on something he said. But, merchant has ALWAYS said mayweather fights are boring, and he's been known to complain about damn near any fight if it's anything other than a toe to toe brawl.

Oh I get that, not going to say they don't. However does EVERYTHING have to be on this dude? I know people hate him, but Manny can't just take Manny's criticism like a man? We gotta make sure we somehow throw shade at Floyd too for Manny's **** up?

Manny did well and he won the heart I think.

Just about every expert out there has called the fight either boring or not exciting, so I don't know what the point of bringing up Merchant was.

I dunno....to refute the oft-repeated argument - in this thread and elsewhere - that people calling the fight "boring" don't know anything about boxing / don't ever watch boxing / don't appreciate boxing (take your pick)?

                            Skip Bayless is an "expert"

Tyson is a boxing "expert" (also called the fight boring) but his technical skills are poor. In fact, I am willing to bet that my dad (who is a trainer in Philly) knows more about boxing than Tyson dispute never having a professional fight. (Has a long amateur career, training professional fighters)

I loved it when Mark Cuban took him down....well, actually humiliated him. Didn't get Stephen A that much, despite the title.

^I remember that, priceless lol. Between that and the time someone called him out about his high school basketball career, those were my favorite moments of him getting put in his place. God he's such an idiot.
