Claressa later corrected herself. She'll be in the Round 4 Round boxing

Correct and as has been the case for awhile, there will not be a new fight night until boxing's popularity significantly increases. I'm talking like peak Ronda Rousey and Conor McGregor in UFC level popularity and even then it would probably take a miracle to happen.

Boxing popularity has increased greatly. Many companies are investing in it. If the popularity wasn't high companies wouldn't pump so much money into it.
EA is to cheap to create another boxing videogame. They want boxers to be in the game for free or little to no money.

I think we are closer than you think to having a new Fight Night released. Boxing's popularity is on the rise.

With that said, as you know the cost of creating a boxing roster isnt cheap (if you want the most popular boxers in your game). So its always going to be a hurdle EA will have to get over.

The thing is. Although it may be costly to try and include all top tier boxers, developers have shown that opening up a game to user created content can work. So why not do it that way? Konami with the freedom of adding user created players and teams to the point where the licenses re not actually needed.

In saying that, it might sound simple but it most probably isn't.
...we held several meetings to discuss the future of the franchise. After going through those meetings, it became very clear that the vision I had for the game was different from where the leadership wanted to take it. I parted ways with EA shortly after...

That only works if you do a boxer share and after EA lost millions in the NCAA lawsuit, they aren’t willing to take that chance anymore.

I feel like in today's day of micro transactions, DLC, and ultimate/Myteam modes, a new boxing game could add additional revenue outside of the $60. Whether or not that can help recoup some of the cost of bigger name boxers, I'm not sure. I'm just hoping we get a boxing game soon from anyone. FNC aged well, but I'd love a boxing game current gen.

imagine a boxing game that was solely about creating a MyBoxer, and competing in online competition.

                        no need for licenses.

they'd make so much money on new clothes, accessories, ring entrance things, you could then fund an extra mode with legends.

all the game needs to do is perfectly balance all the styles available, and have realistic damage and excellent corner mechanics.

no body spam cheese or one hit knockout cheese... just boxing.

(sorry getting carried away imagining next gen boxing if done right)

Stop repeating what EA is feeding you. I have been pulled into a boxing videogame company. It's not as hard as EA is making it. EA greed kept many boxers out. The sad part is Andre Ward wanted to be in Fight Night Round 4 and Champion. It's sad indie companies are taking chances EA refused to do.

So; you want this game to be sim/realistic with balanced styles? The strength or weaken of a boxer is the balance. Many fans want every boxer to be a slugger or brawler which isn't realistic. Boxing is a sport that technique or skills are used by certain boxers. the personality of a game leaves when capabilities and tendencies are absent.

                            Just stop it.

The biggest active boxer your game has signed is Andy Ruiz and you signed him before he won the HW championship. Your game (which no one has seen a minute of gameplay and still has no announced release date) benefits from being an indy game because no one expects much from it. If EA released a game with R4R's current roster and even 1 or 2 major fighters like Canelo or Pac, the public would **** all over it.

Look, I want yall to be successful. I hope the game looks and plays great. I find it disappointing that the game is in its 2nd year of development and there isnt a clip released. Smells like vaporware and I hope its not.

But stop acting as if creating an AAA boxing game is easy or a guaranteed seller. Its not. We all know the realities of the boxing business. We all know that in boxing you have to sign each fighter to their own deal (unlike the UFC). So stop misinforming people that if it wasnt for EA being "cheap", they would release a game.

EA damn sure doesnt seem to be cheap anywhere else. They are throwing away money yearly on titles like NBA Live.

The game was announced last year. Who said it's been 2 years?!? You comparing a big studio like EA; working off a past engine or moving stuff to other tech. Development depend on studio, the ideas, and a few other things that can slow thing.

We have quite a few boxers that we haven't announced, I'm true boxing fan and knew Andy had to be on the roster. Casual fans act like Andy is a bum.His amateur record was 105-5. Our aim is to have the largest roster ever. Why show gameplay when there isn't no release date. We don't want to make the same mistakes Don King's Prizefighter made.

We don't have AAA companies money but trust me we are signing boxers. The team is going to surprise fans and doubters.
