Dont expect to see this game at E3 guys. When I was previewing MLB2k6, I asked 2K sports PR if they plan to release a boxing game this year. He responded by saying that they havent made an announcement about the game yet and that they have an "oppurtunity" to make a boxing game but nothing is official. I also asked if it was going to be at E3 and the response was no.

So probably 2007 or 2008 before we see a 2K boxing game. Then it may be a Rocky game. I will hold back on the excitement or disappointment until I see some previews or hear an official announcement.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

I wonder if we will get real boxers or generic.
For me it wouldn't matter either way as long as the game plays good.Comment

Re: Take Two taking a stab at boxing games on next-gen systems?
At the end of 2004 Take Two Interactive purchased the company that developed the "Rocky Legends" game. This company, called Venom Games (www.venomgames.co.uk), has this posted on the front of their website:
"Formed from Rage’s Newcastle Studio in 2003 and comprising most of the team who created the successful “Rocky” game on Xbox and PS2 we then went on to develop “Rocky Legends” for Ubisoft under the Venom Games banner. Recently, we became part of the Take 2 Interactive group of companies as part of their new 2K Games brand.
Already a very experienced team, many with over 10 years experience in the industry, Venom are now looking to recruit talented and enthusiastic people from all aspects of game development as we gear up for the challenge of developing our next, truly “next generation” sports title."
I would love to see another company take a shot at developing a realistic boxing title. Hopefully that is just what Take Two/Venom are planning.Comment
