Re: Running a UFC 2 Universe
Once I begin if me or the CPU win with a fighter they then have control over that fighter for their next fight and that continues until they lose. There are exceptions to that if a title fight or #1 Contenders match makes sense. However, I try to let me or the CPU ride streaks as much as possible. My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

Re: Running a UFC 2 Universe
The only fights I sim are title fights where I can't decide who I want to play as, like if both fighters are guys I like. I don't want to be the deciding factor of who wins and loses all the time.Comment

Re: Running a UFC 2 Universe
I'm confused on something, what's the point of playing the fights? I mean, on the last UFC game (the one for Xbox One) eventually I could beat the computer every time on the hardest level just by taking them down. If you win every time, what's the point of doing one of these things? Or do you guys sim? I feel like "not taking the computer down" makes the whole thing a stand up fight, which is kickboxing, not ufc.Comment

Re: Running a UFC 2 Universe
I'm not as good at the ground game I guess, because I couldn't beat the CPU on the ground all the time. That's fine by me thoigh.
I tried to play with the fighters actual style as much as possible and not cheese it by spamming superman punches. My win rate is roughly 75% playing that way, which was random enough for me.Teams: Minnesota Vikings, Cincinnati Reds, Marshall Thundering Herd, Virginia Tech Hokies (2010 alum)Comment

Also, I dont think there is a game I've ever played (except for the NBA 2k series), that I havent had to use house rules for.
For example in Madden, I dont switch defenders when the CPU is running the ball because I found it to easy to stop their run offense when I switch.
In EA UFC, I dont spam takedowns or grappling transitions. Also, I fight realistically depending on the fighter. I'm not shooting for takedowns with Anthony Pettis. I fight how he fights in real life.Comment

Ufc 2 is a new game with a revamped ground game. You cant just assume you"ll dominate. At least i hope not. [emoji52]

Re: Running a UFC 2 Universe
Certainly excited to try this aspect on UFC 2, as I hope they made it harder. What irritates me, is that I would get taken down, and then next thing I know I've reversed into mount........which could end every fight. I can't wait for this game and I'm hoping there are some sliders. I also played the first one religiously in career mode for a while. Online ended up being a ton of fun if you were playing against someone who was also looking for a good fight and not a spam-fest.Comment

Re: Running a UFC 2 Universe
One thing I did notice is that I very rarely lost by KO, and pretty rarely won by decision. If it went to the cards the AI was winning most of the time, but the AI didn't have a good 'killer instinct' to go for the finish if I was in trouble. That's something I'll focus on in the Beta.Teams: Minnesota Vikings, Cincinnati Reds, Marshall Thundering Herd, Virginia Tech Hokies (2010 alum)Comment

Re: Running a UFC 2 Universe
It would be nice to have a few "months" worth of cards planned out and saved for my own Universe.
Can't wait for the roster reveal today!
