Whichever you are more comfortable with. Here is a clip of me beating a guy in UT, but this was made to send to GameplayDevUFC for bug reference.

    GnP loop

I hold on the mount ones, but also flick as well for when I'm not trying to deny a transition that has started while mine was completing. Whichever I feel will work best at the time. The low stamina is what made it easy.

it is just a quick flick.

It is frustrating sometimes because the game will just refuse to give you the denial no matter how well you time it. Other times you can denial all match without a problem. I could understand if there was a huge difference in ground passing stats or stamina, but it really makes you wonder.

Oddly enough, I feel way more comfortable on the ground going for subs and ground & pound than I am standing up, which is the exact opposite of how I was in UFC 1.

This year I'm really struggling to find that one strike or combo to rock my opponent without being a huge volume striker.

same here it is much easier to just sit on someones chest and bash their face than go toe to toe...

I stink at both really but when I do win a match it is usually ground and pound. My favorite is the cool take down moves from standing clinches.... I know nothing about actual MMA though, so that is a huge disadvantage. Usually I only play sports games when I really know the sport but UFC is just fun.

It is timing on the ground but not just a speed thing. Certain moves work based on the slight movement of the opponent. Or so it seems. IDK I am Not that good but when I do win it is on the ground.

Re: Official EA UFC 2 "Teach me how/strategy" thread

Im starting to have a new problem with GNP. My ground denials and takedowns have gotten pretty good. Once I get them to the ground, I can keep them there.

However I am having a problem from half guard. I like to poster up so I can strike between body and face. I work my ground advantage up and drain their stamina to nothing, then start pounding them. However they keep getting up with no transition animation and without blocking a single strike. I am sure you guys know that animation when you can't block right before you get knocked out.

Its annoying because these matches usually go to decision and I have gone something like 1-10 in them. This is for UT. I will post a video the next time it happens.

It still blocks if you aren't still in the stun. Video showing me surviving and it showing damage while my arms are up.

you still had the transition animation that he didn't deny. I am not even getting that. Just the guy laying there with his arms up taking shots and then just gets up with no previous animation. I haven't run into to it today yet, but will definitely post a vid when I can.

Yeah, you need to get video of that because it could be a bug.

Practice Mode against the AI on High Level Grappler. Still one of the best training tools imo for the ground. I'd also suggest following MartialMind on YouTube. Hands down the best tutorial vids I've come across.

You are trying to time it. Just hold the parry input. The window is pretty big. I think it is too big actually. Parries are very easy.
