Re: THIS is Striking
They may not update every week or month like a huge company like EA can, but I've been following this game development for a while now and it's a VERY small team of developers making this game and so far it's PC only at the moment.Comment

Re: THIS is Striking
So I guess the pictures posted of Ramon Dekkers wearing a mo-cap suit and Eric Haycraft holding Thai mitts to capture Ramon's moves must be fake, right? Lol

Just because you are mocapping doesnt mean the game is coming out or that a few short clips should be compared to a complete AAA game.
I want the game to come out because I love kickboxing and would love to see a KB game but I'm not holding my breath on this.Comment

Re: THIS is Striking
The strikes are far too quick. When you take latency into the equation alone. Then we've got to take into consideration the limited hardware which won't give us a stable 60 fps. Plus the majority of console players play on displays with high input lag: i.e a TV!
Game looks not bad at best for me. I hope it does well though I'd be happy if it did. I just don't see it.Comment

Re: THIS is Striking
Also everyone isnt going to have the same opinion about how the striking looks. I love the kick animations but the movement is a bit stiff and I wasnt crazy about the KO animation.Comment

Re: THIS is Striking
The striking looks pretty solid, but the graphics are horrid. They need to scale this up a ton. Looks like something from a ps2Gaming ain't easy, but someone gotta do it.

This was my favorite, Urban Reign. Lots of realistic moves including karate:

Re: THIS is Striking
I would agree with the vaporware statement. It's supposed to be a PC game but...
It's a fighting game and PC fighting games don't sell well. Look what happened to Mortal Kombat on PC, with Warner Bros just cutting support for it completely due to poor sales.
it's a sports game and PC sports games don't sell well either.
So as a fighting sports game, it basically has no chance. Even if it does get made, it will probably end up being pirated. in the end, developing this game is a giant waste of money.Comment
