it's a sports game and PC sports games don't sell well either.

So as a fighting sports game, it basically has no chance. Even if it does get made, it will probably end up being pirated. in the end, developing this game is a giant waste of money.

What killed Mortal Kombat on PC (or maybe did not kill) is studio responsible for MK X. Sorry, but you cannot expect PC users NOT to rage and be furious when you openly deny them Kombat Pack 2/XL. People BOUGHT the game and at least expect SUPPORT throughout the life of a product and same treatment as CONSOLE users get.

If the game is good, if there is support, there are sales. If you treat customers as money-objects only and then drop support, you are asking for your butt to get kicked. That just happened to MK X.

    Here you go:

Now seriously, people are victimizing PC gamers a lot, but for absolutely no reason.

Also here is his review on MK X:

PC port was abysmal. There. You expect sales of such crap? Be my guest.

Exactly, im all for smaller companies trying their hands at mma, some of these animations could go a long way (With tweaks) in making ghe standup feel more fresh. Wish them the best in their pursuit of completing the game

The game is fine. No need to change things.

Reviews are subjective and don't always mean that much. UFC 1 got 5/10 and I played that game for two years straight.

I like UFC 2 but I thought i'd be playing it way more than I have so for me it's a little disappointing. I never got bored of UFC 1, I got bored of being spammed to death in UFC 2.

It's good that it sold 1 million copies because it means it will keep improving.

My reactions as I read through this thread...

-Wow! My favorite combat sport, if it only it came on US TV more. I can't wait until this comes out.

            -Vapoware? Ahh man!

            -PC game? Ehh well.

Hopefully it comes out, soon, and on console.

Publishers believe that good review scores will translate to good sales, and budget their games accordingly.

Good reviews is also advertising that a game has good gameplay. Yes, review scores are subjective, but they are very important as they lead to sales.

Well reviews are important to the publishers to drive sales... sure. Let's say you're an offline player and you buy this game for the career mode. Let's face it the career mode was pretty disappointing so you're probably not going to be buying UFC 3 now.

Reviews at the end of the day are just one person's opinion, and should just be used as an outline. IGN gave UFC 2 6.4. I would say it's probably more an 8 and half the reviews I read for this game, you could tell most of them didn't know a whole lot about MMA.

I could say the same thing about EA Sports. Lol

Perhaps, but thats an issue for UFC 3, and can be remedied by getting good reviews for UFC 3. UFC 2 already got good reviews and already got good sales. Really EA doesn't have to do any changes at all. They've already made their money. Any patch improvements are bonuses and should be treated as such.

I really would love this game to come out, but as some already stated above, it's been what.. 8 years in the making now? So not holding my breath for it to be released anytime soon.
