So there is no run button (which is just a crazy gameplay decision in an UFC game). But why on earth don't we have more animations for rocked fighters? I mean why do rocked fighters not stumble to the front/the left/the right/the knees etc.? RANDOMLY!!! I can't believe the costs for mo cap for something like that would be insanely high.

The only reason I keep the game is I'm very addicted to MMA video games and still I hope there is one BIG patch coming up in the next weeks. Just one after all these fighter updates and small cosmetics. I don't play anymore. It's boring. I prefer a more realistic gameplay like MLB The Show. Every game is different there. You never know what will happen. In EA UFC 2 I know exactly what's coming up if I put the Disc in my PS4. Totally "balanced" SF / Tekken / MK-like Rock'Em Sock'Em for the hardcore online kids. Yeah much fun!

So maybe GPD could tell me if there is anything planned for the next weeks? Stand-up? New animations? Run button?
I think, he won't tell any info about the future update. I have asked to GPD about a run button or sprint something when an opponents rocked. these tweets will be help to you.

GPD answered on his twitter :
    - Slowing down movement won't have the impact you think it will. I've tried it. But it's something we may consider anyway..

    - Won't help for what you guys want it for. The problem isn't speed, it's targeting. Trust me, I've tested it.

    - You won't be able to with a run button either. Or if we slow the other guy down. Tried both. Problem is deeper.

I am starting to worry the engine built to run this game is not efficient for a MMA game.

The question is much simpler, why can't we move quicker in the game if the game tries to simulate atheletes who do move faster in the sport itself?

But there are many issues in the stand up currently to worry about running to be honest, like why do fighter proceed to spin kick KO me if I kicked their leg from underneath them? I was faster, more technical, I predicted his repetitive spinning technique and my kicking foot just touches the leg his spinning on and I get KO'd.. Just an example of what they need to fix before adding features like "running"

Also, since EA UFC 1, In the official forums I gave feedback that no one cared about but I was very proud of the idea and it would've fixed many things we currently have, if of course done right. That is the flurry/sprinting idea, I won't write it in detail like I did in my old thread because as a long time user on the old forums I'm tired of typing for no reason because nothing I say ever gets into serious dev discussions so in a few words: the idea is that you have a button modifier that lets you sprint with your fighter, that will include strike flurries that leave you totally open to 1 shot KD/KO's (think Glover vs Bader when they were both sprinting) but dealing massive damage with great speed and stamina tax. If you hold the sprint modifier and move forward without striking, your fighter should simply sprint forward, if you hold it down and shoot for the takedown, it should bull rush your opponent GSP style.

Not every fighter should be good at sprinting, sprinting should have its' own stats for fighters. Fighters like Jon Jones wouldn't benefit from it because their range would be useless in those scenarios. Fighters like Matt Brown are a great example for someone who is constantly sprinting at his opponents (running too) with elbows and swinging like crazy and so he should have great stats for sprinting at correct times etc

For anyone confused, sprinting does not only mean fast running, blitzing/going for flurries are sprints too
If they could pull this off i'd be surprised......... mother****er

I had a simillar idea, i called it the aggresive stance.

Like you change to orthodox/southpaw etc. i wanted the L3 button, once pressed, it opens up your player, a second bar below stamina shows up that is decreasing over-time and can last up to like 10 seconds(depending on fighter/stats and how many strikes he throws during that aggresive mode) it has like 3-5 sec cooldown(depenidng on stats/perks again)
While on that aggresive mode, your player automatically follows the opponent while you are throwing your strikes. You are prone to being 1 punch KO'ed but so is your opponent if he doesn't defend smartly.

Other things i recommended for the stand-up are specific combos, who's job is to break blocks.

For example an opponent is holding High Block, you do a hook and an upercat, the hook should break the block and let the opponent get damaged from the upercat, then require him to press R1 again to resume block(like a failed parry)

Another thing to make fighters more unique, is to have a system of this sort:
Jab lvl 4 + straight lvl 3 = Your fighter will automatically fake his jab while moving forward before landing a straight.

Jab lvl 5 + straight lvl 4= your fighter will automatically slip a jab/straight while attempting his jab.

I would say give us button which will start depleting overall stamina a lot but disabling temporary stamina bar, it s like let s say u find urself in bad position and throwing everything u got in, u might make it or u can end up with big disadvantage or worse, something like from real UFC where fighters got tired at some certain point, because they used almost all their energy for solving certain situation

I am sure they tried, they tried a lot so one of the results was that first we got everyone in UT spinning 24/7 and now we got total opposite situation where nobody is using anything spinning, oh yeah they tested.

it s just me, but hey WOULDNT it make sense to nerf movement speed backwards, so if u want to run away u need to use side steps or backsteps and USE STAMINA, because with this movement situation right now, u wont use any stamina u can just run away
