I'm on vacation, and I need my UFC 2 fix. Martial Mind roleplays too much and is always taking 3-5 rounds to put down bums. At least dmanunt will parry spammy bums and knock them down repeatedly. MMAfroO is top notch and plays ranked so he's my favorite. Is there anyone else like them?

Yup, every high level guy I've faced uses cheesy game mechanics. Makes me wonder about how Kenetic fights considering he's, I assume, the best EA UFC 2 player.

Why is everyone giving Martial Mind guff?
I was ready to give up UFC 1 until I watched his videos.
Also he explained the Ground/Clinch game better than the Official Developers tutorials.
I also like that he'll go back and play Fight Night Champion , Undisputed 3, EA MMA etc.
Also i like MMAGAME and Ipodkingcarter and a few others . Can't think of their names right now

in the past I made alternate profiles just to make it easier to find quick matches.

Not everyone has to like everyone and their videos. I think the proven combo thing is just bananas, and some of the commentaries and the GTA car crash thing are very peculiar. Creative, but really, really weird. I will always acknowledge I'm weird as well and calling someone weird isn't derogatory.

I've said this too many times, but if everyone liked everything it would be boring best. Dude should do his thing. I don't understand how some GC's stick up for him though. It has been said he didn't like some aspects of the multiplier and stuff, which seems odd because some of his videos show the exact opposite.

I dont get mad when people try for proven combos because the game is set up where that is the only way to succeed in the standup.

Its impossible to pot shot or put people down with one shot consistently in UFC 2. The striking is unrealistic and combos are needed to be successful. So ALL of the top level fighters use unrealistic combos and nonstop 1-2s to the body in order to give them the best shot to win.

I honestly hate how the game looks online and in these videos. I'm hoping that striking in the next game looks nothing like that.

After playing this game, looking at striking in the first EA UFC is almost painful. Hopefully the next one follows the same progression and we can get something that comes closer to resembling what an actual fight looks like.

People hating on the back dash is super funny to me. You see fighters hoping backwards in almost every single fight........

The slide/hop back is a super basic, fundamental boxing technique.

Can you post a gif or example of any sort of fighters hopping backwards that looks anything like the game?

I almost never see it, of course I almost never see 4+ hit combos unless a fighter is trying to finish. The last UFC event I don't remember seeing any combos that were 4+ strikes. I swear a huge percentage of the time your going to see 2-3 hit combos.

The back dash looks goofy as all get, especially when spammed. You don't spam it that I'm aware of, and since you don't play much ranked I'm thinking you might not see the backdash craziness much at all. Bunny hopping a foot or so backwards seems weird, especially the way it's presented in the game.

The problem isn't that people use it, it's that the back dash is too jerky and exaggerated of a movement in UFC. I'm playing Fight Night a lot and it looks much better in that game.
