We got different opinions but if they keep the EA UFC 2's grappling system then they need to fix it's issues because we need a better grappling system asap but thank God I'm hearing rumors of a new striking system or whatever , it was much needed , let's just hope EA UFC 3 is the best of it's series but got no doubt in my mind that throughout the years they will improve their UFC games just like hey did with the other sports titles they hold.

      Standing TKO's

I'm expecting this to be in UFC 3. I don't see how they don't have that in. There's so many fights that get called standing. Not everything is a knockout to the ground. That's what refs are for, to save the fighter from getting murdered.

if they focus on more strategy would be great, right now is more based on reflexes and knowing the animations...

You're right about Gastellum! Hope he's a beast next game! Been playing with him on this but struggle against the top fighters.

YEAH! I really hope to see the Standing TKO in EA UFC3 and the ref stoppage animation at that time. It would be awesome.

[QUOTE=Kasel;2048768082]The hell? What makes you say that? EA Made EA UFC 1 but completely reworked the grappling system for the better in EA UFC 2 so I don't understand why you'd think that[/QUOTE

I'm guessing that because of how striking is currently. I think multiplier is bananas, along with other aspects of striking. If the same people are working on the game as in the past I can't expect significant changes.

              We'll see.

Dude seriously. I use Gastelum all the time, mostly at MW, but he is by far one of the slowest fighters at MW in the game so its super frustrating. He should be the fastest fighter at MW! Dudes hand speed and footwork is so slick IRL.

I have faith in the Devs. Pretty sure striking is going to be completely overhauled for UFC 3, like they did with grappling last time.

Not really an Anik fan. If I knew that he'd be the replacement for Goldberg then I would have rather kept the latter around.

Happy that striking is getting the attention it deserves, for sure. Was not my favorite direction they started out with there, interested to see exactly how different they managed to make it, not expecting a complete overhaul, but hopefully some good changes.

The Scorpio/PS Pro support is cool but eh,, the games are already stunning. It's extra resources for an aspect of the game that really doesn't need any of that. Too bad console parity won't allow the extra resources to have one version of the game running at 60fps if the other isn't either.

I share that frustration. He's obviously improved as a fighter since this game was released but I dispute his punching speed of 68, considering Tim Kennedy's is 69.

Anyone who saw the leap that grappling made from UFC 1 to UFC 2 should be excited about whats gonna happen with striking. Many of the same people who worked on grappling are working on striking.

There was definitely a huge leap in the grappling and we for sure got the most realistic grappling system in an mma game to date. As much as I want to be excited though, I'll save my judgement until I hear and see more though.

Thats 100% fair. If I hadnt actually seen what they are working on I would be skeptical as hell right now.

True. Well i'm still glad that you guys seem positive about what you saw. Can't wait to see myself.

lol, I have no idea what that means guy. Just being honest, as i always have. I've be knocking that multiplier and overpower block since day 1. I'm not sure how ea would overhaul striking. Seeing as ea seems to love the multiplier and all kinds of weird strikes I can't expect much different. I don't think you see it much in quick match, but in higher division ranked fights striking is.... peculiar. I suspect ultimate team is similar.

The grappling isn't even that different in the second game. Is it much improved? yes. Is there a lot more transitions? yes. Is it completely different? No, not by a long shot. Biggest difference I've noticed is you don't have to swoop (but you can) and standing up is a transition now. I love the reversals, momentum and all that but at its root the grappling doesn't really feel that different. I greatly appreciate the work ea has done with grappling and it realise its a lot
