I think he means they added another option where you can now hold the corresponding button to escape/block the gates. Like right stick up would be Y/triangle, right stick down would be A/X, ect. So instead of moving right stick, you just hold a button to escape or block them. Easier for some to understand I guess.

Re: Additional information about EA UFC 3
Look on the bright side, we could all be playing the beta in 3 weeks. That's pretty amazing. This is the first day and things are already moving so quick.Comment

I wish too, but that probably won't happen. Especially since the game is going to trial on EA Access also before it drops. Fight Now is a stretch at least...maybe practice.Comment

Brooooo WFA was a real MMA organization that the UFC bought (pretty sure Machida fought in it). It was also featured in UFC Undisputed 3's career mode.Comment

Re: Additional information about EA UFC 3
This is from a game informer hands on impression(on GPDs Twitter):
"The addition of vulnerability frames encourages more counter-punching, as strikes do more damage if you hit them during certain portions of their attacks. More powerful strikes have wider vulnerability frames, meaning that you have a bigger window to do serious damage if your opponent is throwing a Superman punch than if they're throwing a quick hook. For example, I was able to easily rock my opponent by interrupting their head kick with a straight right."

Re: Additional information about EA UFC 3
I remember you saying once that it was borderline criminal that the counter windows from EA MMA weren't carried over. When you were promoted to lead striking developer, I was hoping you'd add them in. You know what the people want my man!Comment
