MMA games aren't immune to possible PR issues like other sports games.

~95% of tackles don't end with a helmet flying off concussion.

~95% of pitchers don't throw balls at peoples heads.

Just like

~95% of KO finishes don't end in clean, iced out, walk away starches.

~95% of KO finishes do end with a knockdown and punches though.

95% of the time the ref stops the fighter from landing 6 to 8 unanswered punches to an unconscious opponent too. Like I said before, you can still follow up on knock downs, chill dude lol.

But that game is also rated M and isn't based off of a real sport. And there also isn't a company that owns the license to the game that could be worried about negative PR. No clue why this is difficult to understand.

Get out of here with this, man. UD3 is brought up in damn near every thread. I, myself view it as the goat MMA game. So much so that I'm actually going through the career mode for the first time because of the praise I've seen on here from it.

It's irrelevant how many times it actually happens.

It's irrelevant what you can see in games that are within 100% control of the producer and don't have to do what the entity they are replicating asks or tells them to do.


Trust me, I get it. We don't like it in any of the other games either and I understand this is a new concept to most but this is a norm for games replicating a sport and have been for quite some time.

This isn't an excuse not to something and there is plenty of evidence as it's been posted in this thread already for you from other games.

When any sport entity that has an exclusive deal with EA asks them not to do something they don't. Litigation threats and possibilities have badly hurt them in the past and they won't let it happen again. They WILL err on the side of caution 100% of the time.

You likely had it shut down because it was an unreasonable request. EA will never have the rights to THQ's franchise and would never remake a game that has a roster outdated by a decade, nor would they abandon all of their work. Nor would the UFC allow that. Just a simple logical deductive checklist would've prevented that topic. There is discussion of UD3 all over this board. An entire topic dedicated to the game also probably stretches the bounds of what's considered "on-topic" here as well.

But why are you arguing with those who believe it to be true by providing stats about it's real life frequency when that's completely irrelevant to the argument they are making? Seems to be counter productive, no?

That’s my point exactly you stated it’s in almost every thread why not have a specific thread that can compare ideas from both games ? Instead of having mentioned consistently in every subject of the matter ? it is obvious that UD3 holds a lot of influence in MMA gaming and should be a blueprint to build from because it seems no matter where you start we come full circle back to that game.
Let’s have a specific thread comparing it’s strength and weaknesses to accurately pinpoint what the next UFC game needs to look like?!?

To say you're harping on a feature that has no bearing on the outcome of ANY fights within the game, nor the game play itself. You can post gifs all you would like of it happening, that is still not going to change the fact that GPD clearly stated why the feature was removed.
