I know we've pretty much established this roster has been underwhelming, but I wanted to put into perspective how out of date it is. Of all fights scheduled from now until April, there is a total of 72 fights. You can only play 13 of them given the game's roster. So you can only do 18% of all UFC fights taking place over a 2 month period. Wow. In comparison EA 2 had 26 of 85 fights after release in a similar time frame. Nearly 32% and almost twice what 3 does.
Yup, this man speaks the truth, I have done the same experiment.

Live event's will not even be fun, since you can barely play 2 fights

Not a fighter but I think Kitty should be in the credits for UFC 3, she puts in a lot of work around here.

Exactly, even if you had just the top 15 fighters, there's 16 of those missing. Not to mention loads of prospects. I know it would have been impossible to get everybody as some are pretty new, but it's hard for me to still not be a bit salty about it. Especially with guys missing that have been around for a long time and deserved a spot. They only added 25 new fighters, which is pitiful in my opinion. Especially when we lost so many. I really hope we get at least 30 DLC fighters, need that many to just make it current.

One thing I like to do in UFC games is to go into Create an Event, and just play the RL cards.

Guess won't be doing that when the game comes out.

          Ronaldo Souza vs. Derek Brunson

          Iuri Alcântara vs. Joe Soto

          UFC 221: Romero vs. Rockhold

          Yoel Romero vs. Luke Rockhold

UFC Fight Night: Cowboy vs. Medeiros

Also, regarding this, is Tweedy's last name really Tweedy? Was watching credits from ufc 2.

I compiled a list of fighters who had at least 3 fights a year ago, had a positive or even record then (and still does), and were active then and still are. Total is 58 guys, makes me wonder how we didn't even get half of them. These were all guys that had been established well before the cut off.

Damn. This stat really puts into perspective the justified disappointment from a lot of us over the roster.

Even records dont guarantee you a spot 2-3 years ago. Someone with an even record could get cut 2 mos later with a loss or 2.

A more appropriate list would be people with 2 or more wins and a winning record as of December 2016.

Majority of them did have a winning record of at least 2-1. My cut off was February 2017. So pretty close to what you said.

Poor Ed Herman, been with the UFC since 2006 and has never been in a UFC videogame.

Whats strange is the December '16 cutoff cuts off alot of people. Out of your first 10, 5 of them dont reach the winning record threshold until after December 1 of that year. Even out of those 5, most of them (except for Herman and Miranda) barely met the threshold.

If I had the time I'd go through it 1 by 1, I'd say that 30 of that 58 maybe meets the threshold and only half of that 30 would be considered notables.

Still yet, we know there were capabilities of adding at least a few guys beyond February, as Marlon Moraes is in despite not even being signed by that time. If more focus had been given to the roster they definitely could have added a few more. And even if we go by what you're saying with maybe 15 notables, why aren't they there? They should have been. That's what's disappointing.

We cant get everybody we want. UFC 2 didnt have everyone I wanted at release.

You bring up Moraes but the problem is the way we are looking at it. We are looking at it like we shouldve had them all when that was never going to be the case. Moraes likely was the reason someone like Perry or Colby wasnt in the game at release. Same with Justin and Till taking their DLC spots. There were only a certain number they were able to get in and Moraes took one of those spots.

I'm very dissapointed about a number of fighters who arent in the game from Ed Herman to Mike Perry to Marcin Tybura. Those guys should be in bottom line period. I wont knock anyone who is pissed about them being missing.

But im realistic. With all of the additional artwork they have done across the board from new fighters to updates of maybe 50 plus fighters, I wasnt expecting Vitor Miranda or Niko Musoke.

I'm not saying I expected all of those fighters, obviously not every single fighter will be in. At least half of them would not be on my roster picks, I'm saying those were all that were established by a year ago thereby eligible for consideration in my opinion. There are several on there that have no excuse for not being in and several borderlines that could definitely had been included as well, as you said.

Basically my point is had there been more focus on the roster, there could have been quite a few relevant fighters added that were established well before a cut off but inexplicably many were missed.
