You can also flick the right stick towards the opponent to follow them down to the ground rather than just dumping them and jumping into guard, which leaves you open to upkicks.**** off, Nugget7211 - GPD, 2017 & 2018

Instead of, hop into practice mode when you get the game and play around with it for a while.**** off, Nugget7211 - GPD, 2017 & 2018

Re: EA UFC 3: Teach Me How To Thread: Tips, Strategies, Tutorials
After a few days now, I can say it's certainly the best striking an mma game has ever had.
The issue persists however that people can walk you down holding block and just throw hooks when you try and counter. Everyone's blocking is far too strong, when you've got a fighter wobbling or backing up you cannot finish them. Body strikes don't do much to help finish, the distance can't be closed enough and blocking is far more useful than slipping/leaning.
There is absolutely no need to lean other than it's "cool visual effect" and the extra slip damage. The blocking is just far far too strong this time around. I hope it gets looked into.Comment

Re: EA UFC 3: Teach Me How To Thread: Tips, Strategies, Tutorials
I'm a huge MMA fan but I'm new to this game. I'm getting dominated with submissions. Does anyone have any links they can give me to help me in this area.
Honestly any links that have helped you step up your game would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance, TDTComment

Re: EA UFC 3: Teach Me How To Thread: Tips, Strategies, Tutorials
I agree, the nice thing about the parry was that it gave defensive vulnerability. Now everyone just uses the forcefield of block. You cant even body kick block holders because one kick catch and you are rocked and your chin is soft the rest of the fight. They need to make kick catch a different button than body block or at least require timing. Make them earn it and give some incentive to stop blocking sometimes.Comment

Yeah, do we know if they changed it after the beta? I found it fairly easy to break people's blocks in the beta, but it's really, really difficult in the full game. It could be a weight class/different fighter thing though**** off, Nugget7211 - GPD, 2017 & 2018

Re: EA UFC 3: Teach Me How To Thread: Tips, Strategies, Tutorials
How on earth do I consistently land roundhouse kicks to the body? I was trying to land the classic 1-2-switch kick with Barboza against the AI Ferguson and often times the body kick was blocked or turned into a leg kick. I was mixing the combo up with boxing combos such as straight-hook-straight and rear uppercut-lead hook-cross but it would rarely land flush.Comment

Re: EA UFC 3: Teach Me How To Thread: Tips, Strategies, Tutorials
I really struggle with pressure, both with dealing with shots, and getting out of the way
I can pick my shots easily against someone who is patient, but against forward pressure I am dead, and they dont seem to gas out because they always hit me, regardless if Im using head movement or blocking
You seem to get stuck in a combo which is annoyingComment

How do you fake transitions?
I always thought it was just flicking the stick but even if I do it for the shortest time it still loads the transition meter and the opponent has time to deny and waste my staminaComment
