This was awful, he's done. Arguably deserves worse stats than Anderson Silva. It's hard to say in which areas, but Chin and Leg Health for damn sure. Leg health 80. Chin... don't know, that was Ngannou after all. But yeah, Cain's done.
His knee blew out, which led to him getting gnped. Nothing merits a Nerf, leave Prime Cain in game.

Also, this was against Francis Ngannou, the #3 guy in the division not against some scrub, he also murked Blaydes and Overeem. Hold your horses.

It's not quite clear what led to what though, as Ngannou also blasted him before his knee gave out. It was both really. But he was terrible, I'm sorry. Awful execution on the kicks prior to the clinch attempt, bad clinch attempt, led to him getting starched and then his knew blew out. It may be a bit excessive to make him a C+ fighter but he's a shell of himself, he really is. Have a look at his open workouts and training too.

I'm just pondering on the fact that the game represents active fighters the way they really are, unless they retire, and by that principle - he should be really bad now. Anderson Silva is over the hill too but he was times more adequate. Cain's body is done, unfortunately. His knee problems did affect his overall performance and they also directly contributed to his loss. That warrants very low leg health, much like with Silva. He also got starched but the consequences should be less severe, as this is Ngannou, but I do feel his chin is shot too.

Don't get me wrong, I watched the Big Nog free fight on YouTube and was thinking how he should have a "beautiful" leg kick animation for UFC 4, he threw everything with such great technique. I really like Cain. But we saw what he's like in 2019 and it's not good.

Honestly, even with Silva: He got one kicked checked, broke it, came back and had a competitive fight with Bisping in which he could have Finished, beat Diaz (then it was overturned), and then, albeit subsequently boringly and controversially, beat Brunson.

Also, I think it would be wild if they IMMEDIATELY attack Cain, yet they've done nothing to Conor's RIDICULOUS health stats.

You punish somebody with how they look against overall competition, this isn't a string of losses, this is against somebody who is RENOWNED for his power.

It's like giving Aldo an 80 chin because of McGregor, or GSP an 80 chin because of Serra, Lawler an 80 chin because of Woodley.

I never tip my hand here about what I'm going to suggest but nothing about that 21 seconds leads me to think he needs a nerf. Cain got caught by someone who knocks pretty much everyone out and hurt his knee which kept him from recovering.

I know you have a big gripe with Conor I'm just pointing out the sad facts though. Nothing about the Cain we saw right now even remotely resembles prime Cain (and also in-game Cain). Just for the record, I think Silva's also been given way too much credit for his fight against Adesanya. He's past it too. But he has looked better than Cain.

And Adesanya, as good as his striking and stand-up are, is overrated too (by people, not in-game), not necessarily because he lacks the skills, but because he hasn't showed them against the best. He hasn't fought anyone really noteworthy. People were like "oohhh, he styled on a top 10" - dude - Tavares, really? 43 y.o. Silva in a glorified exhibition sparring that was more flash than substance that he couldn't finish, really? He's been good so far but before he fights guys like Costa, Romero (!), Whittaker, and even Weidman and Gastelum, I'd chill on the enthusiasm.

Watching his kicks thrown against Ngannou vs his kicks against JDS in their second fight- it's damn near the same.

Even the clinch entries were damn near the same.

You can drop his chin and leg health -2, but it's not like it'll mean much anyways.

I want you to look at another fighter accurately represented in game-

              Luke Rockhold.

An A+ fighter in game, but difficult to use to an extent, and I enjoy using him.

              Look at Rockhold's recent fights:

Mediocre inside boxing, got Koed against Bisping, stunned against Branch in Round 1, and KTFO by Romero in Round 3.

However, his technique on his kicks- phenomenal.

His grappling- devastating- look at what happened to Weidman and Branch off of one mistake.

His fight with Romero was competitive until he got flatlined and his chin is already accurately represented + he suffers from Tall Man Syndrome in Game, so nothing even needed to be done.

Cain got KTFO by JDS in their first fight, and also I believe either dropped and subbed by Werdum, or just subbed when shooting in on a TD.

You see the man look the way he did against Werdum, you probably would have been calling for a debuff the same way you are now.

Then they put him against Travis Browne, and he absolutely MURDERED him.

I'm not for drastically punishing the elite for losing to the elite, or punishing those deemed mid tier against the elite. (Hooker vs Barboza comes to mind)

Did you really think Cain looked anything like prime Cain even before the dreadful finale that was the clinch attempt, the knockdown and the blown knee? Silva has poor leg health due to a broken leg. Diaz has poor leg health because he can't check them. Cain's entire performance was defined by his knee issues and in the end the things flat out blew in the fight itself. Come on. His body isn't up to it anymore.

I don't know man, I really think he's done. He did murder Browne despite another huge absence due to injury and that was the only reason I had some hope he could deliver like Cruz does. But yeah, I felt like I'm watching a Condit (my favourite fighter alongside Cruz), a BJ or a Barao. Nothing about it felt like just a bad night, his injuries are well documented, his rigorous training regime is well documented. His pre-fight workout showed a horrendous attempt at a hook and a knee problem during the open training. I think his body has had enough. The devs and aholbert and Solid will decide what to do but no nerf sounds ridiculous to me, frankly.

I dont think those 21 seconds were enough to know if he is prime Cain, better than prime Cain or over the hill Cain. He threw a couple of kicks, got hit and his leg blew up because he fell awkwardly.

That's the point, I think his knees were a disaster waiting to happen and defined this performance, not merely an awkward landing that would have injured most anyone. The signs that he's past it are too many and quite convincing in my opinion. Obviously if he could deliver another performance like the one against Browne or better this will be refuted but yeah, I think he's done.

Let's wait until his next fight before anything drastic is done, and we have a more definitive answer. People were quick to say Aldo was done, and he clocks out every other top contender in FW, I remember when Woodley lost to Rory, they said he lost his soul in that fight, and ended up becoming Champ. People said Ngannou was done after Stipe, and look at where is now. I can name countless examples.

You want to see a fighter who merits being where he is as a B Fighter now- Renan Barao. Since the 2nd fight with TJ he's been a shell of himself, you see glimpses of his former self in his losses, enough that where he's viable, and even last night he turned out a great 1st round, but alas he took another L.

If Cain were to start losing like Barao, that warrants getting demoted heavy.

Saying all the way down to C+ like he doesn't have the resume he has + wrestling credentials that he has shown in 90% of his fights, is wild my friend

                          Anywho:

Now, for his stats to get the respect that they deserve, ESPECIALLY because this is a head to head match up, and Aljamain showed that he IS at that level.

                            Striking:

                            Power 87 to 89

Dropped Rivera with a spinning back fist, and noticeable damage on the face of his opponents in this three fight win streak that definitely insinuate that he has more power than an 87.

                            Accuracy 88 to 90

Outlanding Jimmie Rivera, looked very accurate, and his low and high mix ups were great.

                            Blocking 86 to 89

Last few fights have shown how defensively responsible he has become post-Moraes, and was even using Ortega-esque elbow block defense against Rivera.

                            Head Movement 88 to 90

                            Footwork 89 to 93

                            Switch Stance 93 to 95

Sterling's best performance thus far, when he wasn't trying to stifle Jimmie with takedown attempts the cage, he was fluidly mixing up high low with his kicks and punches, his footwork was class in cutting off Jimmie, and overall warrants a change as well.

                            Grappling

                            ADD- Grinder Level 2

                            Clinch Grapple 88 to 92

Controlled Jimmie very well in the clinch against the cage with his under+overs and transitioning to double unders, how Rivera's clinch grapple is higher than a 2x D3 All-American is beyond me, but he showed in this fight he was well equipped to earn a boost there as well.

                            Stamina

                            Striking Stamina 90 to 92

                            Endurance 88 to 92

Outworked Jimmie, doubled the output in the striking and barely broke a sweat, held the same pace he started with. This is a gimme.

Now, looking at Jimmie Rivera's Health Stats, I have no clue why these are the way they are, I honestly don't think they should be that high, his health stats are better than José Aldo's, who's a much more proven fighter for obvious reasons, throwing that out there. Anywho,

                            Health (Aljamain)

                            Body Strength to 90

                            Leg Strength to 92

                            Toughness to 92

                            Heart to 90

As Aljamain said in his post fight interview,

"PUT SOME RESPECK ON MY NAME!"

Bump because this needs to be seen amidst all the Cain talk.

                              Anywho:

                              HOW ABOUT PAUL FRIGGIN FELDER?

He's another dude who looked great last night!
Hey, I admitted calling for C+ was an exaggeration. I just believe he has a reached a point where he is such a fighter, sadly, but of course the reasonable thing to do game-wise is to wait and see, rather than actually make him really bad right away. Don't rush a nerf to the ground but can't we agree that at least his leg health should suffer greatly? Akin to Silva? I'm not saying all of that because I hate Cain. I just think this at least is warranted.

Anyway, I don't mean to detract from your Sterling suggestions. While you're at it, it would be great if you could lend a hand in pushing for gamechanging Jeremy Stephens buffs, especially a tree chopper perk.

I think I've asked for Tree Chopper numerous times since somebody (I think you) pointed out to me that he didn't have it.

What's crazy, is that I VAGUELY remember him having it at Level 3, and then poof, outta nowhere he doesn't have it.
