How can I not fear for this game when you are preaching to people to play UD3 as an alternative and being the only person who likes the look of the KOs?

Blaming the consumer for a mediocre product cause the market is monopolized is absolutely ridiculous. Its not a "lame excuse" as you put it earlier, its what we are sadly left with. You are having a really hard time seeing things any other way than how you already do, but understand passionate MMA + VG fans are not going to pass on a purchase of the only up to date MMA game available. That doesn't give you an excuse to hate on the consumer as if thats somehow a reason we can't voice our criticisms.
I dont know if I'm the minority or majority. Dont really care either way.

My role is very constructive. When I talk to the devs, Im very constructive about the things I would like added or improved to the game. That doesnt mean that I have to be constructive with the community when they arent for the most part.

You have to actually read my posts before responding. I said clearly that you can voice your criticisms. People already are. IMO, those hold less weight when you cant control yourself enough to delay your urge to buy a video game.

Many of these criticisms are couched as "gamekillers" "unacceptable". I've seen some described as "lazy" and "disrespectful to the community". They are all of those things to some people here...but that isnt enough to slow you down from buying a video game.

I love MMA. The amount of money and time I spend buying PPVs, going to events watching UFC and Non-UFC fights is ridiculous. My wife hates the amount I spend. With that said, I would never buy a game at launch that I knew I would dislike. Even if I had that passionate urge, I would wait. I think its amazing that people cant do the same.

I really don't understand what's wrong about buying a videogame about something you passionately enjoy, only to later find out it wasn't what you hoped for?

-Have you ever heard a song you liked, then bought the cd only to realize the rest of the songs sucked?

-Or maybe a band you like releases a new album, and you buy it right away because you know you like the band, only to later realize they tried to evolve their sound, but it's just not your cup of tea now.

          Honestly. What's bad about that.

We are all working adults here. Woah. I spent 60 bucks. Big deal?

          I don't get it.

I stopped posting here midway through last year as I had a lot of stuff going on. I came back after playing the career to ask about it. It was then that I saw the comments about it being misleading etc.

My point being that if I, as EA's consumer, only looked at their marketing material I would have been mis-sold.

When did it become a requirement to play a beta, join a forum and pay a monthly subscription to trial a game to find out it is flawed or been mis-sold? That is just not reality for most people i'm afraid.

As I said I don't think arguing over salient points gets anyone any further to solving the issues at hand. Nor does dismissing people's grievances.

I will remain optimistic that at some point we will have a complete game and at some point through a process of elimination, more quality posters here of which I consider myself to be one.
You have me wrong. I'm talking about forum members.

If you bought the game based off of an ad or you liked the beta or word of mouth and now you hate it, more power to you. I've done the same in the past.

But if you bought the game after you played the beta, posted multiple (and I mean multiple) posts about your issues with it, confirmed that those issues werent adressed, had options to see videos to double confirm....and you still bought the damn game?

            Come on man.

Lol totally kidding. You're far from a troll. Probably one of the most intelligent and insightful user these forums have ever seen. But you're getting so defensive and worked up because people don't like the game. Isn't everyone entitled to their opinions?

I'm about as casual of a player as they come. Never play online because i'm awful at the game. With that said, it's not holding my interest at all. I don't hate it. It's entertaining but the submissions frustrate the hell out of me, the AI aggression is insane, striking feels sluggish, etc. Definitely all seems patchable and I hope they do but right now, i'm bored with it. Just one man's opinion.

Those analogies dont work. The one that works is a band came out with an album that you kinda liked but thought they would be talented enough to have a great 3rd album. They drop two singles for the 3rd album and you hate them. Hate it. I tell you "The whole album sounds like that". I then send you a link to listen to the whole album and you hear it sounds the same....after all of that you still buy the album.

I actually have the $60 big deal view. I bought PES last week because I thought it had a feature it actually didnt. I didnt post on the PES forum about all the issues I had with the game. I chalked it up as a loss. I wont have a soccer game to play this year because FIFA has issues too.

Bro. What is the big deal.

Id pay 60$ just to have the EA UFC 3 CASE sitting on my self looking sexy next to my other video games cases.

                        It's 60 bucks man.

I love MMA. I love video games. Even if the game blows, i'm obviously still playing it.

I'd buy it again even. It's 60 bucks. It's not anything i'm worried about.

That, in no way, shape, or form, lessens my opinion about the game mechanics. Can we please keep these discussions on track?

He has every right to complain tho. It’s the only way the game will improve is through feedback. He very legitimate (hint: not illusions) issues with the game and a dev team that had shown that are capable and willing to work with us.

You should probably care a little more when you are posting your opinions in a way as if we should all abide by them.

What? This makes no sense. But either way, how constructive you are with the community isn't what concerns me. The positive reinforcement attitudes are what does. A game developer who wanted compliments for an improvement to UFC 2 rather than constructive criticism for a still mediocre game. A gamechanger who has literally defended everything EA UFC from the horrible looking KOs no one likes to telling us UD3 is an alternative. Those things are concerning. Not how you choose to word things differently with the devs and the community or whatever...

Thats fine considering the same way our "urge to buy the game" holds less weight for you, your urge to defend everything as much as you can holds less weight for me. And just makes me really question this "gamechanger" input and how it could negatively be effecting the game.

You need to stop talking down on people just cause they have $60 to spend to try the most recent and only available modern MMA game. Thats irrelevant. Why do you keep going back to this? Are you really using that as an excuse to demean people's criticisms? Come on.
