I don’t like the angle he took right before he got backed up and KOed. It seems Rockhold is pretty terrible at fighting backwards and he doesn’t match up well with southpaws. I found it strange during the countdown that he didn’t train with any southpaws in sparring, that was a bad move.

To everyone saying Rockhold has a glass chin... any fighter in the world can get KTFO with their chin in the air. He stands so tall and never tucks his chin, it has NOTHING to do with how durable his chin is. Please EA leave his chin alone, you can adjust his footwork and head movement, these are the things that get him in trouble.
Rockhold's awkwardness fighting backwards is reminiscent of how awkward he is in general lol. He just looks so uncomfortable. The timing is awkward. He tries to use head movement to get out of trouble at awkward times.

I wonder if this is a Pettis scenario and he starts losing all the time now because he's been figured out. I don't think it'll be as bad as that but it seems like most fighters are going to have a good shot at him if they implement the right strategy.

I agree that his chin shouldn't be nerfed. Footwork and head movement should be.

I’m interested to see where he goes from here. I’m not really convinced that any fighter can beat him, I think Yoel was just a bad matchup: southpaw vs southpaw and Yoel being fast, great wrestler and super powerful aswell as being unpredictable.

Rockhold vs Whittaker would have been a way more comfortable fight for Rockhold I think, not to say he would win but he could’ve been more successful with liver kicks etc.

Maybe his future lies at 205 since DC is moving up to HW. Not really sure how Rockhold would do at LHW, it’s a very thin division but guys like OSP, Manuwa, Gustafsson would be highly favoured over Rockhold considering the way he presents his chin.

He looked pretty drained at the weigh ins, sounded very dry but most fighters do and that could be due to his lean frame.
