      I've been in practice mode labbing the relationship between forward moving combos and major lunges and the inconsistencies are staggering.

      Players cannot be expected to learn the game without set principles that never get broken, principles based on reality.

      Here's an example of the inconsistency i'm talking about.

      Scenario 1:

      Fighter A queues up a forward moving 1-2-1-4 (Jab-straight-jab-hook).
      Fighter B blocks the 1-2-1 and the 4 delays before landing.



      Scenario 2:

      Fighter A queues up a forward moving 1-2-1-4 (Jab-straight-Jab-Hook)
      Fighter B blocks the 1-2 lunges away from the 3rd strike and the 4th strike still combos hard with max speed and range.



      Scenario 3:

      Fighter A queues up thesame EXACT combos.
      Fighter B does the EXACT same thing as scenario 2. Blocks the 1-2, lunges away from the 3rd strike, but this time, the 4th strike is canceled completely.



      How many more inconsistencies like this exist in the game? How many more do we encounter and not even realize it. It's like the game just makes up it's own rules whenever it feels like it.

      This is why set rules are required so players can learn what works/what doesn't work and be able to depend on it consistently.

      BTW, how quickly Conor closes the distance in scenario 2 even against 2 major back lunges is ridiculous and why only 2 forward moving strikes thrown in a combination should be allowed to combo hard like that.

        I think the difference between gifs 2-3 is that the 2 is slipped in the second gif but blocked in the 3rd

        But yeah the auto movement by Connor is ridiculous.

          You can't really compare gif 2 and gif 3 as you swayed the punch at a different time.

          This is just a prime example of the COMBO system not working properly and the "speed and power" that is supposed to carry with the combo only following through when the correct scenario happens.

          Remove teh combos.

            This is the second Gif slowed down.



            The 2 was blocked, followed by a lunge backwards. Same as Gif 3. I did the lunge sooner after blocking the 2 in Gif 2, but that's it.

              it looks like the 2 goes straight through your block and hits you, even sends sweat flying.

                      The stopping power is like that? No way a hard combo cant be stop like that. The 3rd strike is just as powerful and fast as #1 and #2 there is no space and damage openings to it. Tell me or better show me how to, cause then I’m doing it wrong. Out of instinct I’m trying to get a punch in there after the second or 3rd strike. I lose many fights like that.

                      A 1-2-3-2 will hit you moving back with full power and speed it’s hella fast and powerful. My experience.

                        The 2nd gif is different it looks like you did 2 advanced lunges in a row?
                        And hes still all over you the distance created in the 3rd gif is what should happen everytime.

                        But to be honest half these people DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY WANT.

                          Yup, 2 major lunges in a row and when it was all said and done he still ended up directly in front of me. That's a big reason why creating distance is so hard right now. Those forward moving combos must be toned down.

                            Thats the new quick retreat Stipe is doing though. You can do that in the game and tag someone like that. The only issue with it is once again the long term stamina tax it has.

                              Im 90% sure you can not do what stipe did the power on straights has improved but not that much.I've never got 1 punch ko like that and does this retreat move even cause vulnerability damage?
