Yeah I definitely agree a greater stamina tax on forward moving combos and especially ones of 4 strikes or more would help. It does get frustrating with non stop pressure and rapid combos that leave YOU drained, not them aswell if not more. I would like to see, especially in the heavier divisions, more of a drain for all strikes. 300+ strikes at heavyweight is rare Irl yet unfortunately common here. Make the incentive to be mindful of your gas tank. Too many people at all divisions can move forward and blast off without worrying about their endurance. Do like the minor/major sways and back sway being more effiencent it’s helping!

Re: Is this intended?
If you throw a lot of hooks and uppercuts the game will punish you severely, yet you can still throw a million jab straights to break down the block and still have WAY more stamina than your opponent, that's what we're seeing here.Comment

Re: Is this intended?
I don’t have a problem with the pressure because ftd wasn’t doing much other than blocking while moving backwards. I do have a problem with the lack of stamina drain with that much pressure but some of it is likely because Cormier has a pretty high stamina rating.

Slipping straight - lead hook (or upper)
It's money.
If you force him to lead with hooks, frequently, that already makes things more interesting.Comment

Again, every patch, I say what I say and get shot down. Door makes a thread the next day and all of the sudden everyone sees what I see after one fight. This game unfortunately never be balanced. It's usually a back and forth spam fest now.Comment

That's absurd for him or any Heavyweight really. The pace on this game would be tuned with an overall stamina tax and it would be much better for it.
I'm not sure how anyone thinks this current pace is at all realistic. If anything nerf the block further, massively increase stamina drain and then you have a game where people will be forced to fight intelligently.
Currently it's a mindless button mashing spam fest.Antonio Rodrigo "Minotauro" Nogueira - UFC Hall of FameComment

Re: Is this intended?
Sure but Nogueira does as well. He should have one of the best gas tanks at Heavyweight. Regardless DC is not throwing 150 strikes in a round without slowing down.

Also, there is some responsibility on your end. You know what leads to stamina drain? Whiffs. Your sole defense that round was holding block and moving backwards. The way the current stamina system works holding block alone isnt going to drain your opponents stamina a ton.
I just wish they gave you high level ranked guys a sim stamina setting or sliders.Comment

I dont think anyone has said that the pace was realistic. I just identified what was leading to the pace. Cormier has high striking stamina.

My point is simple - Cormier regardless of what his stamina rating is shouldn't be able to output 150 strikes a round and maintain a stamina advantage in doing so. That really goes for most any Heavyweight.
The stamina needs to go back to how it was in early March. That's when long term stamina drain was appropriate.Antonio Rodrigo "Minotauro" Nogueira - UFC Hall of FameComment

Re: Is this intended?
You gotta plant your feet and use the big sway to make him miss shots don't try to counter off them just make him miss it will drain him and once you get a big stamina advantage he won't be able to follow around the cage so easy

Way to many strikes are being thrown atm, i don't like it at all. It's alot harder to use headmovement defensive atm, atleast for me i can't dodge **** while ppl throwing nonstop combo blockbreakers. But if the majority enjoy it i guess this stays..
