It is for u perhaps and allot of ppl who understand lag etc but allot of ppl wont tell the difference and just accuse ppl, that's all i'm pointing out, u have ppl on this thread accusing other because they have played ppl where it felt similar.

Just want ppl who may not understand that not everyone who lags is abusing it as these things can turn into mini witch hunts where the average player who reads this thread might just assume everyone who lags is cheating

I would assume that there isn't a large amount off ppl doing this and i have sympathy for ppl who have poor connections and must be getting accused of cheating all the time when they dont have a choice about lagging.

We shouldn’t have to play these guys then. A ping indicator and a back out option is needed. I feel bad for people with bad connects but it doesn’t mean I have to suffer because of it. Even if the lag is not on purpose these guys are accustomed to playing with that lag and have an advantage because of it.

3 Mbps is more than enough - nearly 3-5 times the amount of bandwidth it takes to play most games.

not if its a house with more than 1 person in it using the internet, even on a good internet connection if 2 ppl in the house are streaming hd videos that can be enough to cause lag. Most ppl who play will have other ppl using the internet at the same time as they are playing which is another cause of lag.

You can even QoS on a connection that small to mitigate that.

Might be nice not to play laggy players but from a sales view point alone, i cant imagine something like this happening. How many sales would they gain form saying to ppl that u wont have to play laggy players online? Compared to how many sales they would loose if they said If u have a bad conneciton ppl wont play u as they have the option to back out? My guess is that not a single person would buy it because of it, whereas a large amount of ppl would not buy it fearing they would be lumped in with the poor conneciton ppl.

how many ppl know what QoS is? How many ppl can even setup a static ip for there console? how many ppl even know how to access their router's settings?

My guess is most ppl who play games have no idea about these things. Just because allot of ppl on this forum know about them doesn't mean that a large number of the player base does aswell

I concur. I consider myself reasonably computer-savvy and know how to tinker with some router settings like ports, MAC-filters and DMZ, but I had no idea what QoS was until I looked it up. The whole point for most console players is for it to be plug and play, no fuss.

Not taking a side in the argument, but yeah I don't know what a QoS is at all and I feel like I know a decent amount about computers, routers and the like.

A back out option and a ping bar. If I had seen this post beforehand I wouldn't have even bothered making a thread asking for basically that. Get so sick of fighting people who routinely have abysmal connections and end up winning sometimes because of it. I understand why we can't just have a block function, people will block high level players or people who beat them, but man something has to be done to mitigate that. I see some of the top 10 records and think to myself "Man, that dude must have ****in Google Fiber or something. Cause every three fights my opponent is too laggy to even fight." Not that internet is 100% of that, but I'm just being real, that's what I think to myself.

Well it doesn't surprise me when he allows known DDosing scum like xMrDarthx and TopManStan in his ESFL league.

There's no standards over there currently at all.

Stan DDoses? Any evidence? I know he hangs out with a bad crowd, but he seems like an alright person in our sim league. I would HOPE he doesn't do it, but if he does, well... I'll be very disappointed.

All of those guys that hangout with one another do it. The only one that's distanced himself is Uni-Bot04.

Why the **** is it taking so long to ban this guy? He clearly is exploiting his lag to win with submissions and high kicks.
