Re: Modified head kick issues.
It creates its own openings to do extra damage.
Set it up with body kicks and have them block the body when you throw it and it does more damage (or it definitely seems to)
I don't think they need a buff at all and you kinda just said why, they're all about deception.
Your not supposed to come flying out with a ? Kick and win the fight, your supposed to get the opponent conditioned to body kicks to create that counter opportunity, or use another setup.
As for the ducking roundhouse, that's fine too IMO, I use it when I'm coming in on someone I know will retreat out 3-3b-duck round.
If they stay in the pocket, it misses, if they back out, shin meets chin.
I think regular roundhouses should be a little more powerful as they are generic, common, easy to read and thus harder to land.
Also I've always maintained that the damage of a ? Kick isn't so much from the kick as it is not seeing the kick coming. You can definitely generate more power into a traditional roundhouse than a ? Kick.
Whenever you see a Feitiosa ? kick KO, the opponent ALWAYS blocks the body, they never see/expect the kick to go high, heck, half the time they bite so hard they lift the knee too!Comment

Re: Modified head kick issues.
Also, do you know if there a damage bonus to landing a kick to the head if the opponent is blocking low?
It always looks like they lean into the kick a little when you get a KO on someone blocking low.Comment

Re: Modified head kick issues.
Fair enough, I haven't really labbed any of this, so I'm just going purely off how it feels in a match, I love using the rear question mark kick, so I won't be in any way bothered if they get a buff.

How else would you test it?Comment

Re: Modified head kick issues.
You could just kick him once and look at the health bar, comparing different kicks, preferably with the same move levels and power (and no perks).
But this is precisely the kind of thing I'm telling yall to ask me, because I can just look at the data and tell you. Though if I'm to reveal specific values, I'll probably have to ask permission, first. This is why I'm a bit vague, sometimes, saying that this kick deals a little less damage than that ones, instead of mentioning the numbers.Comment

How are you reading the results? As rock or non-rock? If so, letting the guy recover and kicking him again isn't a very good way to do it.

Letting them recover is the most game play like way due to the environment. It allows me to regain stamina and by letting them recover it acts as a gameplay like mechanic as you dont land them consectutivly, you land them spaced out.Comment
