Glitch Resulting in No Damage from Counter Strikes

I have no idea why this happens, but I’ve lost a bunch of fights because of it.

Does anyone know what’s going on?

Here’s a vid posted by someone on Twitter:

Is it only ducking punches ? I've been getting a lot of KO's from side sway shots and back sway shots

Possibly. I’m not sure. Anyone else seen this?

More like the block is activating way earlier than it should. That should be a perfect counter strike not a block.

Yeah that's weird man. Looked like a perfectly timed counter to me

Wow that's crazy, i know with their latest patch they tried making one punch counters less effective meaning you would have to dodge 2 strikers then counter to do the same damage as before. But instead looks like they tweaked the slider all the way down to 0 for damage on first counter punch. Definitely looks to be a glitch, instead of the damage being lowered it looks like it was just taken out completely. Hopefully there is a quick fix for this.

If its confirmed as a bug then I really think they should reset records again once its fixed.

Ahhh, you must be one of the many people to come at me without minding their P's and Q's and got banned.

For the record, I think this game has a lot of flaws. I also think most of you guys are terrible at the game and have no clue what's overpowered/flawed and what you specifically can't counter because of your massive skill deficit.

I've been top 100 in multiple fighting games with skill floors and ceilings much, much higher than any UFC game has ever had.

This isn’t a fighting game , it’s a sports simulation game understand that. As far as this “glitch” the only reason the counters are not landing is the person whifing has qued up block after the slip, if the person swings and whifs and ques up another strike or does not block you get a counter shot. Please don’t incourage those cheesey first slip shot counters pre patch to come back. They should just fix it so a block animation plays

Re: Glitch Resulting in No Damage from Counter Strikes

I've had this one once or twice offline.

Last night was the only time I can be sure it wasn't just timing error on my part.

I was practicing counters vs Mark Hunt because he reliably spams the overhand.

So I slipped his overhand and caught him with a lead upper, that did less damage than a jab.

It felt exactly like the damage nerf you get when you sway shot early. However, this was not early, I didn't put the upper input in until after I'd visually seen the overhand miss.

Prior to this I thought it had happened, but figured my timing was off, but this was different.

I was Ngannou, he has a level 5 lead upper, and the exact same counter caused a stun the prior 2 times I used it.

Not to mention if I'd thrown the sway upper before the overhand it would've connected and messed me up, so I can't think of any other reason this didn't count as a counter. He wasn't blocking, either, or returning to block from the strike, he ate it flush.

Obviously I'm not saying that they should remove the sway strike nerf, heck no, it's a brilliant change, however, it does seem to need ironing out.

Look at it this way if you seen the over hand wiff and your cocking up a uppercut to counter, your opponnet sees that counter coming as well it would be unfair for that counter to land if beacuse of a slow block don’t you think? Considering there are two blocks in the game high or low ur best bet is to dig to the body where your opponent wouldn’t see the shot going there , then in future exchanges you’ll open up the head for a counter cause your opponent will be thinking body from the previous exchange.

This drives me crazy. Slipping a shot and countering is cheesy? And you have the nerve to talk about whether or not this is a sports simulation?
