Also, any advice for the rubber guard?
The duck got nerfed in the big evasion overhaul from the lastest patch. The taller you are, the harder it is to duck. If you're much taller you can't evade by ducking, at all. And ducking straight punches doesn't give you the timing window to fire back, so you usually need to defend again.

I have no advice for the rubber guard. But some dedicated grappler player will probably give you some tips about it.

So you want tall fighters to be able to duck and use head movement like a shorter fighter? Thats not really what they do tho. I think the update got it right, shorter you are the easier it is to duck. That is correct.

He never said anything even close to that. All he said was that ducking got nerfed, which is a fact.

It's less potent than it used to be. Whether you agree with the change or not is an entirely different issue.

I wouldn't say ducking got nerfed. Duck uppercut did. 1 punch duck combos did.

Being tall and being able to duck punches got nerfed.

          What's the problem?

I really like the up close headkicks because they have like no wind up at all. I usually throw lead hook to the body and rear headkick. It is deadly against a southpaw

That is exactly why they are cheap and need to be fixed.

How often do you see this done? I literally have only had one person do it to me and it was a top player on ranked.

I agree with the duck nerf. And some nerfs apply to shorter fighters, too, like how you don't kill a ocmbo by ducking a jab. It's a huge deal. But I agree with it.

My point is that this makes it extra important to fix the issue with the head kicks from close range, because it (along with the nerfed ducking) can doom a taller guy.

Can you expand on that last part? Im still not quite understanding the point you are trying to make.

I think he’s saying it’s important to do away with the head kick from a phone booth range because taller fighters can’t duck the kick. So either you eat the kick or block it. If it’s at the end of a block break your screwed the way it is now.
