Re: Patch spoilers discussion
Just started a new career mode. Pro difficulty, CPU grapple transitions +4 and CPU sub speed +1, and great googly moogly is this fun. The AI is so much smarter and plays so much more realistically - it's a threat every fight, but doesn't feel cheap or like it's cheating.
The fight history page is very nice, too, and makes your fighter feel a little less disconnected from the rest of the UFC.
Every dev who's worked on this game and continues to work on this game should be extremely proud. I'm a big ****ing nerd and play a lot of games in a lot of genres, and I've never seen anything like these kinds of drastic long-term improvements.
And the updates are free. What did we do to deserve ya'll, EA UFC team?Comment

Patch Review
As with every patch, I do a little review on what I think of it. This one has had some pretty significant changes imo. So here's my thoughts on this months patch...
Footwork Improvements: By far some of the best improvements in the game to date and the number one standout thing for me. The changes to footwork and strike tracking have made the striking difference almost night and day, giving us the ability to react quicker, create angles, make our opponents miss big, create space, ect. I still have to put in a lot of practice with these things, but with the changes, things are headed in a really good direction.
Active KD Interactions: The 2nd best change. Makes things feel much more realistic and not limited like pre patch. Before you couldn't do anything and had to just watch the guy get up. Now you can actually take advantage of these situations and do something about it both on the attacker and defender side. Great change.
Realistic Damage & Health Events in the Clinch: More so the single collar, but this was really needed and missing from the game. Now you have to guard yourself in the clinch as you can be KD or even KO'd.
Cage Seated FTF Position: Lots of us had been wanting this for a while now. Great addition and adds more diversity and realism to how kd's play out. Really liking this addition. Now if we can just get an actual cage seated position for the grappling
Block Counters: Anything that helps negate spam puts a smile on my face and this definitely does that. See...
Reaching Strikes: The addition of reaching jabs and straights helps the outside fighting game even more.
There are alot more little things I like in this patch like the addition of strikes on td attempts against the cage, reducing range on overhands, career mode sliders, improved AI, ect. Overall, there's really nothing I can say I dislike about this patch tbh. Great job by the devs. Get's a 10/10 from me boysComment

Re: Patch Review
The seated cage position for grappling is definitely mandatory, let’s keep building the grappling world.
I would like to see the standard double leg takedown animation changed, make it more like the automatic takedown but with sound (that’s another issue that needs to be resolved)Comment

Re: Patch Review
i usually hold back from reviews until about 2 weeks in. Every patch is the best thing ever until one guy figures something out and it spreads like wildfire.
Will say that this patch certainly continues to prove that Devs are trying and are listening to feedback, when you consider how far we've come from the duck uppercut days (lol at high level guys who actually defended this crap) to a game more focused on angles, total MMA; it's great.Comment

Re: Patch spoilers discussion
How do we find the sliders in career mode? I looked in gameplay settings and only saw difficulty, camera/HUD options, tips etc. Is it only in the beginning?Comment

Re: Patch Review
Zabit is a monster. I suck at striking....more specifically boxing i tend to strike just so i can grapple. This guy has some awesome stuff that allows me to be decent and tricky. He just has so many options. Kicks at range, long boxing. Knees and elbows in close. His wrestling is the best for someone with that level of a striking aresenal. Then on top of that he has rubber guard and the darce choke. There is no position where he doesn’t feel strong. He is a little slow, but he can go.
How do u do that sig throwComment

Re: Patch spoilers discussion
You can't change them while you're paused during a fight. Once you're at the screen where you can train, edit moves, etc., go into settings then switch to the advance settings tab (R1 on PS4). That's where the sliders are.Comment

Re: Patch spoilers discussion
Edit: Maybe because I'm on legend mode and it doesn't allow HUD and difficulty changes.....I'll try it on pro and see if that works.
Edit 2: Yep, it was me being on legendary mode that caused sliders to not show, minor bug.Last edited by Seymorslash; 08-23-2018, 05:04 PM.Comment
