      The step jab and straight are nice additions, but feel to inconsistent. I think this is due to the extremely short distance covered by the minor forward lunge. 2 things. 1, can we please have double the distance covered by the minor lunge. It is pointless like the minor duck was. 2, since these strikes are one offs, aren’t able to combo in or out of. Can we also get them assigned to the block button like the elbows? All fighters without elbows assigned would be able to throw these long single strikes while retreating with a plant and throw tactic. Or just make them context sensitive where every fighter has them, but in close you throw elbows if you have em like front kicks do into knees. One last option, create R1+R2 strikes and assign them there. If you want to go further, you could actually bring back the parry for this one particular stepping long strike so as it doesn’t become op.

          Thanks! Definitely trying this out in practice mode. I was one of the players who complained about AI not blocking in free sparring practice mode, because it's one of my favorite modes to try out new techniques.

          Strike recording is perfect for timing though.

            Right now I'm feeling like the only way I'm gonna pull off block counters is by accident, lol. Same with pivot lunges. These additions are all super cool, but it seems like you have to be really insanely good at the game to actually use any of this stuff.

            Like, you have to read what your opponent does, know the proper counter, and get the inputs right? Ain't happening for me. Reflexes too slow, fingers too clumsy.

            Have ya'll considered adding a game mode where it's heavyweights only and fighters move at 50% speed?

              That definitely sounds like a desync, which bad news bears. QA hasn't encountered it, though they're definitely on the hunt.

              Any information you can give is awesome. Video would be fantastic...

                I hear you lol. Ive been playing MMA and fighting games for a long time but I barely get the timing for a perfect slip down. The pivot lunges are crazy hard for me. I got it done maybe twice in a fight and hardly consistently with strike recording.

                Just tried out block counters and they do work but really only for single shots. Timing is very strict, too.

                  I'm as big an advocate for ragdoll KOs as anyone in here,and yes I was pretty disappointed when they said it wouldn't be added in this patch,but the additions and improvements in this patch are so amazing,I'm really not even all that upset about the lack of ragdoll in the patch. For me this is literally the best striking I've ever seen in an MMA game,and it's not even close. The striking seems so fluid now,the footworks incredible,the stamina system feels about right,I like where the damage system is at,I mean I honestly feel like with some more adjustments and fixes to the ground game that this game would be even better than Undisputed 3 hands down,yeah I said it lol! To me,with some ground game tweaks and ragdoll KOs, it would be ridiculous,and would be a great foundation for UFC 4 to build off of. I'm well aware that this game is far from perfect,but I'm thoroughly enjoying it right now and Undisputed 3 had its share of flaws.

                      Not sure what desynch is but what causes it? Why would it only do it at that moment each time? Surely that's a game issue?

                        It’s the connection between you and your opponent online sending information to the server being out of sync. When there is a discrepancy to great for the system to correct its self, desync happens. The reset is better than missed inputs though. This will never happen to you offline.

                        You can help mitigate this by power cycling all your home hardware and quitting the search for matches if it takes longer than 15 sec.

                          Sounds like you and I are in the same boat,lol! I just lack that twitch reflex attribute that so many elite gamers possess. I generally don't even play FPS games online just because my reflexes take me a hair longer than others for my brain to see an image on the screen and send the signal to my hands to push the button. I generally stick to slower,more methodical games but I love MMA so much that I still have the desire to play this game even if I'm not the greatest. I do pretty well on my feet,but soon as it goes to the ground,I usually get demolished against an above average gamer. I just can't hit the RT/RB button and the transition input on my controller fast enough to hold anyone down or block a transition. Still love this game,I just struggle with it. Add me if you have the urge to play someone who's not extremely skilled,but hey I usually pick lower to middle tier guys and I try to fight realistically,even if it means a loss.

                            I'm going to correct this a bit, because there's truth in here, but also some misleading info.

                            Yes this is a 'desync' as we call it. It is not, however, caused by your home hardware. It is 100% a game issue, although they can be veeerrry elusive. They happen when one fighter's game reports something different from the other fighter's, when both are required to 100% agree at all times.

                            The best way we can recover from this, is to attempt to reset the fight from a neutral position with as much data saved as possible, such as round length, health, stamina, etc.

                            This is obviously not happening 100% of the time, and so far we've only had reports from you that it's happening, but it's definitely something we need to track down.

                            TL;DR: This will indeed only happen online. It's our fault, but it's damned hard to figure out what causes these. Resetting your modem won't help.
