Bruh no way. That’s literally the best change made to the grappling in a while if that happens. I’ve been begging for that since forever. Wrestling will feel so much grindier being able to drop down to the legs from the clinch after failing your initial shot.

Yup. I was excited when I heard it too. The reason I never pick grapplers much in this game is cuz it was harder to use them at their full potential, than it was strikers. But as things get added its getting better and this would just be another great addition. My hopes are if not in this game, at least by UFC 4 we can do a lot more. Driving takedowns, a more mobile fluid moving clinch, more grappling positions we can take advatage of as grapplers (like seated cage), ect. Also really would really like to see chain wrestling somehow implemented into this game at some point....hopefully UFC 4 also.

Yeah I mean, it’s like you get a second chance now. If your opponent shuts down your initial double leg and gets an underhook, you can just drop back down and re-shoot. I’m visualizing this as a very positive change. Honestly all the game needs now is a cage seated position and we’re at a really good place. I’d actually be content with this game for years if it had cage seated and cage TD re-shoots.

I'm not sure if you'll be able to shoot from all cage clinch positions. The one he mentioned was from when you have double unders against cage. No idea if we'll be able to do it from over/under, single collar or thai clinch. But that's how it should be, so I hope thats the way it is.

If there are already flying triangles and armbars from clinch, pulling guard is a total oversight. Add it in from over/ under and it counts as a takedown against you.

Yh it may have indeed been an oversight. If pulling guard were to be added though, it should be from more than just over/under. Should be from pretty much all clinch positions (dominant & submissive) except back clinch and submissive thai clinch. Other than those two, you should be able to pull guard in every other clinch position...even when a guy has double unders on you. However, I don't think it should count as a td against you cuz you're putting yourself on bottom.
