Re: New fighter update?
Bro, the amount of Damage Weidman has taken since the 2nd Silva fight has been a lot... even in the wins. Belfort, Machida, Gastelum hit on the guy when they moved forward. Blocking 95? No way, he’s all offense and clearly has defensive deficiencies when pressured. Buff the toughness but you can’t say his 88 chin is low so leave the high block rating. Jacare has 89 blocking. Their fight was basically even with sig strikes landed despite Jacare being at a severe reach disadvantage. How exactly is Weidman 6 points higher in Block rating? Not the fight I saw, and we know Jacare is not 95 either. Lower that block for Weidman.

Re: New fighter update?
Weidman had excellent defense the entire fight until he got blasted. In fact, that has happened to him a bunch. But, it doesn't matter. He clearly has great blocking and movement. His chin is the determining factor here.
Jacare may have even up significant strikes, but that's only because he knew he was getting out-boxed cleanly the first two and a half rounds and decided to start swinging. He was getting pieced up and hit through the block. His head movement was ridiculous, but not his blocking.
Weidman's block stays. Jacare's head movement and stamina should have been increased. He showed much better stamina than in the Gastelum fight (who still has **** stats and no one can tell me otherwise, they should be on par with Whittaker).Comment

So Weidman had excellent defense how? Range fighting with good footwork and decent head movement. But when it came down to actually blocking strikes when Jacare collapsed on Weidman’s tactics and threw strikes in the pocket, Weidman had, no blocking, poor footwork and 0 head movement. Fax
