Good for shareholders. Bad for gamers. Would like to see what geoff could do given that much time.

yeah but how many revamps do you expect to see? i think at some point you need to start to build ontop of what you got and keep polishing it. Madden gets released yearly and gets tons of hype frequently because of constant releases even if its 99% the same game just new skins.

At a certain point i expect this game to be a yearly release, hopefully, sooner rather than later

I'd rather have a new Fight Night, but in UFC 4 the only thing that needs an overhaul is the grappling system. leave the striking alone for the most part; it's in a good place right now

I realy hope this doesnt become a yearly release.

I love the post release support and the fact that the games are actually different each time they’re released

They were only different because of the revamp in striking, the game wont be different every time they releases it because it simply would not make sense for them to do so.

Once they have a solid foundation to build ontop of, i dont see how they can justify a 2 year cycle if they basically adding some move set and polishing what they have, at that point im sure it would become a year 1 cycle like most sports games should be and are.

I see your logic generally. Most sports revolve around a season though. Fighting doesn't really, so it doesn't really make sense to say 'should'. However, most sports gaming fans have become accustomed to that by now, so they probably will end up doing that.

There’s still a lot of depth that can be added

New animations for all positions. Revamping subs and clinches. Adding more modes, revamping Cafs.

The beauty of MMA is that it’s super deep and there are so many levels to each discipline. The dream MMA will be good enough to allow different modes for each sport. (Karate rules, boxing rules, Thai ect)

Plus is is also treated like a fighting game in a lot of ways and they dont come out every year.
You gotta allow time for the meta to settle.

That's true, but let's be honest here. Tons of stuff happens under these two years in the UFC and fighting in general which has made this franchize falling behind in terms of up-to-date roster for example. Take the female lightweight and featherweight division as an example which was established by the UFC like 1 year after the release of UFC 2 which made it impossible for the devs to fully scan and implement them to the UFC 3 roster. Maybe putting featherweight division at that time wasn't as significant deal considering the fact that it wasn't even deep enough (3 fighters at that time), but the lightweight division was.
