Same as knee, it’s a strike that comes out faster than it should and super safe as the agresssor is already pressing the block...

Hey holbert if you could stop being toxic and trying to bait me to get me banned thatd be great. Another reason you shouldn't be a game changer

Unlisted video against Gonzalez where we did a quick fight against each other. He is a guy who primarily thrives on the jab jab pressure meta to kill the block, notice how once my block is overcommitted for some reason I cannot move my head.

I used Thompson and tried staying on the back foot as much as I could + while trying to time lunges without getting koed.

It would also make any kind of outside fighting insanely harder. If all the pressure fighter has to do to get you to stop moving is throw a leg kick, and you are forced to eat it, that would be crazy. It's already so hard to actually create distance in this game. People can stick to you pretty easily. Having to stop moving anytime you even think a kick is coming would destroy outside fighting.

Consider you tend to be pro realism, I'm surprised. You can check kicks now very easily, even if you get tagged by a 3 piece combo.

You check the kick two or three times and their leg is SCREWED - you get Grapple Advantage AND their power gets reduced the lower their leg health is. This hurts kickboxers in this game because unlike catching the kicks that does require timing otherwise you'd block the kick, checking kicks should require the same kind of threat. If you put weight on the leg and fail to check the kick, i.e. mistiming a block, you can take reduced damage to be fair. Walking backwards you should not be able to check so easily.

If somebody throws a kick in punching range, not only does it not do any significant damage, but you are WIDE open to eat a straight down the pipe in this game.

This helps guys on the outside as well, because you now have to watch how you enter in the pocket, you could do what Gaethje does and crowd them, or you can capitalize off of a whiffed kick for a takedown.

Great work playing on the back foot, you had more patience than the ponzi guy, the fight was in his hand by the 4rd but he started using reckless combos

I liked it. I was surprised you didn't utilize the jab-side kick combo more or fake more side kicks.

I love conditioning people with the jab side kick then mix in jab-headkicks lol

I think it still shows that defensive circling isn't easy mode. He did a good job cutting you off when he was patient. He got a bit thirsty sometimes tho throwing back to back 4 piece combos.

I'll be interested to see Zombie's thoughts

If you get overzealous with those side kicks, you will get punished. You didn't realize, but he side stepped a few of them, as he should.
If I go for a jab side kick, and he side steps and lands a hook, it's 90% sure to be a knockdown.

Those four piece combos are so deadly because my block was so low. And once my block became overcommitted for some reason I couldn't move my head, and that CANNOT be a thing anymore.

It comes and goes, which is the bigger issue. That's a fatal inconsistency in this game.

Nah. If you think what I'm doing is being toxic, i'll keep doing what I'm doing.

People seem to let you get away with your nonsense posts but thats not my style. If you take Philly's advice and focus on ways to help the game, you will be fine. If you keep making this an ego thing and selectively responding to posts, I'll continue to call you out.

                            Speaking of Gaethje and pressure...

So, on Ranked I couldn't find anybody to really pressure me due to my name + even on my alts, so I had to go on Quick Fight and pray that I find somebody with a brain + who does the stereotypical 'pressure' style that people in Div. 4 and 5 tend to struggle with.

Voilà, here you go, the classic Pressuring Nick Diaz

With everything, it revolves around patience and making the reads on what your opponent is doing. The staccato-esque rhythm of the strikes are what really does people in, the jab hook (Stam recovery), jab straight, (queue a body strike thrown in there), and being that they're landing on the block the stamina recovers much faster.

Again, if you have side kicks, knees, and the fighter you're fighting against doesn't have them, the whole point of those strikes are to maintain distance and give a threat to the guy to stay off of you. If you're okay with somebody throwing 100 excess strikes in your face, yet you're worried about being called a 'spammer' when you throw 2 or 3 three knees, you care a bit too much about what others think and you're limiting your arsenal.

And it's not even the amount thrown that matters, spamming knees/side kicks won't work on a good player, they will lunge and land a straight for a KD, or they will side step and eventually hook you for the punish, so TIMING your strikes is just as important, don't just simply 'not engage' and complain when you're not offering nothing of resistance to your opponent.

All that being said, watch the video, supplement your thoughts on what you think should be added with regards to movement, circling and Defensive maneuvers.
