With regard to injuries, I would like to see a fight end and that the opponent may not be present at the time of the decision due to an injury, and that we can see how he is treated for it, this happened from time to time. when in UFC 3 undisputed which gave him a lot of realism, I do not say that it happens constantly, but that it can happen if the circumstances arise for a possible injury
    Ah, I see.

My fear with these kind of stoppages is that ends the same way over and over again. Like the cage tko animation. Its terribly boring. If they find a way to make doctor stoppages realistic (I doubt that) then go for it.

I posted a GIF a while ago where an uppercut destroyed my opponents defends and the arm damage meter went immediately dark red... it completely destroyed his block defense, because of his broken arm. That was realistic. (Its was in UFC 2 btw) So if they make injuries realistic, but dont stop an online match for a tko win... Fine. But dont let the CPU decide when a match has to be stopped by a doctor or corner men... not a fan of that.

But I dont create EA UFC 4 so you might get what you want. IDK.

It could be increased in such a way that it could be optional that there are or not injuries playing in the net, I personally am more than playing in local multiplayer, and just like a fight stops when there is a ko, or ko / tec could stop the fight if one of the contestants is shaken in such a way that he has been injured, I don't know how they valued him in Undisputed 3 but he looked great.

But of course it does not become something habitual, that it is something that happens at certain times, it is as in UFC 3 it happens very often that if you give certain rivals kicks in the leg again and again the fight stops by KO / TEC and it is a nuisance, like the rest of the body, the legs should have a certain level of recovery

Matter of fact the only time a fighter didnt continue on a self inflicted injury was Anthony Pettis vs Ferguson and he only quit cause he knew Tony was going to kill him in round 3. (Dont quote me on that, but I think Pettis is the only one who ever quit on the stool because of a broken hand)

Injuries pre fight in career mode Im totally fine with that... end a fight because of injury or doctor stoppage, Im not a fan of that idea.
All im saying is if your right hand is hurt the power should decrease and thats realistic. And what you said about career mode i agreed. You know how we have leg health body health and head health. I think we should also have hand health. Really think about put yourself in that perspective that your playing ufc 4 with that added health mechanic. It really changes up the game. In a good way IMO.

Yes, I am all for that. UFC 2 had a full body damage system btw. It decreased the hand block power, but not the striking damage (I believe it didnt have an effect on damage, not sure).

I just dont want CPU doctor stoppages, because of it. Nor self inflicted hand injuries, unless it happens on an opponents block (a checked leg kick for example). Thats all.

Full body damage system... hell yeah. Lets see what we will get its probably too late for such changes, if its not in the game yet. Maybe in UFC 5 then.

They should add doctor stoppages because of cuts for offline. And disable them for online play or even have s setting for offline where you could disable them if you dont like them that way you cater to both groups of people who want them in or dont want them in.

You dont have to buy the game on release day. If you see the trailer and it shows things like press conferences or faceoffs or some other thing that you guys love...wait until you can confirm that you are getting what you think you are getting.

The beauty of living in 2020 we have all types of access to information. For UFC 4, there will be people who will stream the game for hours the first day the game is released on EA Access. Both consoles now have EA Access so you can rent the game for 5 bucks and play it for 10 hours before you spend 60 to buy it.

If EA makes a ****ty game its 100% on them. If you buy a ****ty game (when you have access to info that will tell you if its ****ty or not)....thats on you.
This has nothing to do with 'having' to buy the game on release or me not watching streams of the game prior to purchase.

The fact that I have to watch 5 hours of career mode gameplay to find out the game doesn't come close to what is advertised, yeah that's bamboozled to me.

I know you will stop at nothing to defend EA, but with that career mode trailer of UFC 3, they damn well knew what they were doing.

When I was a kid all we had to go by was the cover art.

When it drops I'll skim a few playthroughs, check this forum and reddit, and that should tell me if it's worth my time and money.

I don't mean to play devil's advocate here, as I agree that the main trailer was very deceptive, particularly them showing us about 10 different face-offs and fighters trash talking during pressers — we know how important these ended up being.

However, alholbert is right that the potential buyer had (UFC 3) and probably will have (UFC 4) any and all information about the game they might need. MartialMind immediately started making Career Mode videos, showcasing absolutely everything about that mode. People were recording gameplay in general, too. Given that the player doesn't really have to rely solely on a trailer to make their decision, it's fair to say purchasing a game they're not satisfied with is largely on them.

Here's another reminder that apart from not buying it at all, you can also wait for the game to drop in price before buying it.

I understand what you guys are saying. I don't feel like EA scammed me out of my money or something, but let me put it this way:

Be me, very hyped about that career mode trailer. So as soon as there are Youtubers streaming the game, of course I'm going to watch.

But if you have ever played a game that actually has a decent career mode, you know that it's time consuming, you might not experience all the new features in the first few hours, hell maybe not even in the entire first playthrough.

So there I am, dissapointed that career mode looks to be ****, yet again. But I've only skipped through a few hours of gameplay, I can't be sure that was all this game has to offer.

I mean yes, in this game's career mode you probably won't experience new features after one hour of gameplay, but that is not the norm.

Of course you should inform yourself before you buy. But with most games, you don't know everything after a few videos, this game being an exception.

I get what you're saying, yeah. Sometimes not everything can be conveyed through just watching.

But most of it can be and you can get a lot of the info through people's videos still and make an informed decision. Ideally you'd watch a lot of different videos from different people. I remember watching a few devs and DJ play career mode and after they explained to him how it works (it's super basic and it didn't take long) DJ asked about replayability and all they said was something along the lines of "well you could choose a different fighter background, like a wrestler, and see how that plays out and that's it" and DJ was like "oh, okay.". That + Martial's videos should be enough for anyone to see how shallow the whole thing is. You and I were excited about pressers and face-offs? We had all the info right in front of us. Getting the game hoping there magically would be more to it... That's just wishful thinking, unfortunately, and that's on us, or whoever the buyer is. I did get the game because the striking was a brand new game, essentially, damage was seriously revamped, etc., it wasn't solely based on Career Mode, which admittedly was revamped compared to 2, whether it was hot garbage or not.

You do have a point though, the trailers were very deceptive and you do feel like there's got to be something substantial to show for all that heavy advertising and imagery we've been shown...and then there isn't. At all. But we can use that experience and make a (better) decision next time around. Here's hoping there's no more of those bull**** trailers though.

This. I had cover art and maybe if im lucky an article in EGM that described some of the features. Reviews didnt come out until weeks after a game.

Now we have sooooo much info to assist us in making an informed decision.

There will be bull**** trailers. There always are. EA's argument would be the press conferences and faceoffs that you see in the trailer are in the game and therefore its not false advertising. They will say its not their fault that people assume that those would be like UD3 or interactive.

Its a shame that I have to say this but I have to over explain things on this ******* forum so here goes:

THIS ISNT MY ARGUMENT. IM STATING WHAT EA'S ARGUMENT IS. IM NOT DEFENDING EA.

Would it be nice if EA just made trailers that couldnt be interpreted in a way thats misleading? Sure. It would be a very straightforward trailer though.

For example, a new trailer could come out and it could show a few new grappling positions. Now, you and I may see it and say "Oh ****, EA added a bunch of new grappling positions. I bet there are more" Or we could take those positions and say "EA revamped grappling look at all the new positions."

And you know what? Both of those could be wrong. It could be that EA just added only the positions they showed and there is nothing new about grappling other than that.

                            You know?

Thats why if you care enough about something in a video game to feel "bamboozled", the next time you should do the research to make sure that isnt done. If its a 5 hour career mode....well you have EA access which gives you 10 hours of play and you have career walkthroughs.

Finally, I've been bamboozled. I bought WWE2k20 sight unseen because I love the series and the game was a buggy mess. So what I'm I gonna do next year....im gonna wait. I'm gonna watch vids and read reviews. Its simple.

Its simple.
I actually stepped in to back your point, lol.

We've had this discussion before. I intentionally didn't use the term "false advertising", because they didn't lie — what was in the trailer was indeed in the game. I called the trailers "deceptive" while ultimately acknowledging that with so much info out there, it's up to the potential buyer to inform themselves and in turn make an informed decision. Basically what you said. Did you read my post?

LOL. I saw that King. I was just backing up your point. My argument wasnt directed at you. Its directed at people who feel like they were burned by past trailers.

They have every right to be mad about being burned with UFC3 but that should inform their choices when it comes to UFC 4.
