Re: PETITION TO REMOVE CAFS FROM ROSTER RANKED.
Because of my job, I’ve watched almost every PPV for the last 7 years, with very few exceptions.
I personally favor realism. I think that striving for realism creates balance because MMA is naturally a balanced sport.
I’m addressing the people disingenuously saying it’s about balance when it’s clearly not. Many of those same people who have shot down every suggestion I and a lot of others have made about realism in the name of “balance” and not ruining the “meta” a higher levels of competitive play. Realism has never matter until now when they can’t make a competitive or balance argument against something they don’t like.Xbox GT: the relaxed guyComment

Re: PETITION TO REMOVE CAFS FROM ROSTER RANKED.
"Any means possible" is always the name of the game in ranked, in any video game that has ever existed. Let's not pretend that CAFs in ranked is gonna change that.
Don't act like people wouldn't take a patient, methodical fighter like Jon Jones and throw at a higher volume than Holloway did against Ortega.Last edited by Good Grappler; 07-13-2020, 02:10 AM.Xbox GT: the relaxed guyComment

Re: PETITION TO REMOVE CAFS FROM ROSTER RANKED.
Okay so basically you have a chip on your shoulder that’s why you’re opposing this initiative? You don’t even disagree, you’re just mad people didn’t notice your suggestions on the last game? Come on now. Let’s focus on this issue now. Sign the damn petition and let’s get Batman and Robin out of ranked....precision beats power and timing beats speed... and realism beats meta.Comment

Re: PETITION TO REMOVE CAFS FROM ROSTER RANKED.
And I apologize for getting heated here and there, I got no issues with any of you. It’s a game at the end of the day. I just been looking forward to this for years and now I find out I’m gonna be playing against “Relaxed Guysuks”, with blue and red skin. Oh and I get to pick Ben Askren every Tuesday.
Like, what in the actual ****.
And then I come on here and see people like
“Oh bro it’s actually a good idea because uhh, it just totally is dude. Realism doesn’t matter. Spiderman probably had good takedown defense anyways”
And I’m like WTF.
I mean ****. If I gotta play against Spiderman, so be it. I’ll be testing his takedown defense every Tuesday, when Brian Hayes lets me pick Ben AskrenXbox GT: the relaxed guyComment

Re: PETITION TO REMOVE CAFS FROM ROSTER RANKED.
Well since I did only have seen like 4 seconds of gameplay I will wait until I have played the beta to see how balanced and deep the create a fighter mode is. I may sound like a filthy casual but if the caf system is well balanced and barely top 10 material then it could keep things fresh also, sometimes I really hated it to play against the notorious time after time.Comment

You've got to admire the fact that they had multiple meetings, brainstorm sessions and whatnot over the past 2 years, and nobody on the team came to the realization that everybody over the age of 12 was going to hate this, truly mindblowing.Comment

I disagree. If the CAFs archetype ratings are equal to those of a roster fighter I have no problem with this what so ever.Comment

My only issue would be why can't we create 100 overall CAFs just for offline play.Comment

Re: PETITION TO REMOVE CAFS FROM ROSTER RANKED.
Why does that matter? Wasn't a huge point of promotion in this game the realism? How is this more realistic? All it does is ruin the immersion of the game.
Why should I have to use the top fighters in ranked to be better than some made up created fighter that's never fought a day in their life? Why should I have to use Petr Yan in order to beat someone using Batman in ranked?Comment

True, they could lose their contract or money trying to be strictly militant to what a certain group wants.Comment

Re: PETITION TO REMOVE CAFS FROM ROSTER RANKED.
Absolutely not. It’s not about me or my ego at all. It’s deeper than that. It’s about the inability to move the game in a certain direction. It’s about the philosophy shared by plenty of people on here about realism. Many of the people I’m referring to are gamechangers and highly ranked competitive players. They don’t think realism is important. Well, here you go a more balanced, super unrealistic change has been made to the game.Comment

Re: PETITION TO REMOVE CAFS FROM ROSTER RANKED.
At least I hope the caf system received a huge update in terms of hairstyles and face editing, body types and the list goes on.
I mean common, I have regular short hair but there is not a single hairstyle that matches it. I do think they have fixed this because on the emphasis on caf this tear.
I know it is not a popular opinion here but I always like to create a lot of different fighter in a realistic manner so I also dont mind to use them in ranked. They could leave the animal stuff out if I had to say so but it is what it is.
Also hope that they update or made it easier to work with ea gameface.Comment
