Only way to stop a takedown is to predeny-Subs vs ai are broken.

Absolutely tested these vs the ai and thr denial windows for transitions and takedowns need to be opened up quite a bit......Subs are impossible vs the ai both to execute and defend.....Really wish they would bring simple subs back with punch, chain, and slam prompts implemented into the tap system....Could actually watch the subs play out again instead of these stupid screen filling meters.

Pre denying is actually the only way to stop a takedown from any fighter. It is absolutely absurd and broken atm.

by far the worst sub system ive seen in any game . mma wrestling anything. Ive played the beta ALOT and I can say there are issues in the game but this is broken and is the first thing that needs to be addressed. At the very least it needs to be harder for the offensive player to get a sub. If I go for a sub online I win. If someone gets a sub on me they win. Thats shows its not a issue on my end. Its the system. Please fix this

Easy to escape submission,you must start on your left(if you are left angle)and rotate show the controller

I have no idea what people are talking about as far as only being able to deny takedowns by pre-denying. Maybe you're too used to UFC 3?

Basically have to anticipate the takedown and hold L2+R2 to deny a takedown or just happen to be blocking your body and they shoot while you're blocking. By the time you see them shooting and you hit deny, it's too late once they start the takedown animation. The window is about as tight as can be. Only takedowns I've stuffed so far were when I was blocking the body and they went for a takedown. I've finally got it engraved in my mind to hit L2 and R2 instead of R2 and Right analog down and it's too late to deny once they've already started the takedown.

Not gonna lie I’m not really fond of this new submission system especially with the screen going red...Seems kind of cheesy

Seems like they tried to replicate UD3's cat-and-mouse submission minigame except in UD3, you could actually escape subs sometimes. I cant play this on hard or above solely because I get tapped every damn time and I dont even understand why. I tried going slow like everybody said and I still get tapped, usually with a full meter of stamina

Completely agree I know it might seem crazy but I got kind of used to UFC 3 submission Game I think they were on the right track just needed to tweak it up.... I can’t escape submissions as well

Well, I don't know what to tell you, because it's definitely possible. I've played 15 fights against a friend of mine and we both stuffed plenty of takedowns on reaction. And neither of us are really that good.

The claim that you have to pre deny to stop a takedown is 100% incorrect. I stuff more takedowns than I get taken down. Its much easier to get a TD than it was in UFC3, but you definitely do not have to pre deny. There are so many layers to the takedowns that you are likely not understanding.
